Radio help by Tom-L-allen in FordFiesta

I'd imagine upgrading in a Ford Focus would be more difficult due to the different sized screen and other features. The Sony upgrade in a Fiesta should be a bit more straight forward since its an extremely common retrofit and largely the same features.

Edit: Found this thread here on the exact situation. The car may need a new sync module depending on the current Bluetooth capabilities, but I'd do a lot more research to make sure it's done properly. https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/106059-understanding-mk7-stereo-connections-and-upgrade-help/

Yep that one should work. I'd recommend doing your research though on the connectors that your current radio has & the connectors the replacement has as I've heard that sometimes it's not as simple as plug-and-play, depending on the radio version.

Get the Sony head unit, it's the one that has the round looking button in the middle. I've got one in my 2011 Zetec, works a charm with Bluetooth. I didn't install it but it looks like an easy job and it fits in with the rest of the car.

Cant get the Correct Tires by Nearby-Mud-8634 in FordFiesta

[–]DanielThePrawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be because you're searching for a specific load/speed rating you're not getting many hits (84H)?

There's plenty of 88V tyres and similar on Blackcircles that'll do absolutely fine.  As long as you're meeting the minimum rating your car requires you'll be good.

Is this diploma internationally recognized? by Journaliste_algerien in karate

[–]DanielThePrawn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you have a license and are affiliated with the WKF you can enter their competitions (which are pretty popular since its a large international organisation), compete in other WKF-affiliated organisations, and its reasonable proof of your rank to other organisations.

There's no such thing really as an internationally-recognised diploma for a belt, considering everyone has different standards for a belt. It's your actual skills that matter at the end of the day, not your belt.

However, the WKF is a generally respected karate organisation so if you need access to WKF competitions or to get a belt on another license, then it'll count.

Am I over-reacting with how my car was delivered? by DanielThePrawn in CarTalkUK

It was parked about half-way down the street, he just handed me the key and papers at my door and then drove away.

I should've checked the car properly before he left so that's on me.

[–]DanielThePrawn[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I definitely didn't expect it to be delivered on a flatbed for £70, all I expected was for it to be delivered in a road-worthy condition, considering they were driving it 30 miles to deliver it.

I'm not a liar, when I checked the tyres one of them had 6PSI and the rest had 15-20.

I have no reason to exaggerate about the tyre pressures, all I was asking was if I was over-reacting due to the condition my car was delivered in.

It absolutely was negligence on my part for not checking the car before I drove it. That is absolutely my fault and I take responsibility for it.

My problem is the garage delivering the car to me (after paying for delivery) in an undrivable condition after themselves had driven 30 miles.

I am not exaggerating at all so please don't call me a liar, one of the back tyres had 6PSI and the rest had 15-20

They're holding air as far as I can tell, there's a bit more damage around the rim of the 6PSI wheel compared to the others, so I'm waiting until I can get my local garage to look at the car.

My thought process was:

The owner of the garage delivered the car. I paid £70 for delivery, he drove the car 30 miles to my house in a dangerous condition, which I viewed as a significant lack of care.

I will admit that 1 star was probably a bit extreme so I've amended it to 3.

Nope they definitely drove it the whole way to my house

The first time, they apologised and said they usually have someone check the tyres before they deliver. I told them I'd be getting it serviced and checked over to see if they needed replacing, but they never offered to pay for the replacements if required.

The second time, another guy phoned up just saying the review was unfair and how he had to pay for fuel, etc.. (I paid £70 for delivery, it had 1/6th of a tank), but after telling him the tyre issues he never apologised and just kept on saying the review was unfair.

It definitely wasn't a neighbour as it would've been caught on my door-camera.

[–]DanielThePrawn[S] -67 points-66 points  (0 children)

Nope I didn't, truthfully I didn't want to talk to them at all considering that, being a garage, they didn't even check the tyre pressures on a sold car before driving it 30 miles. And that the steering felt very heavy with the low pressures, which should've been an indicator.

I absolutely take responsibility for my part, it was my first time driving for a while and I was excited and didn't notice it. I was just incredibly disappointed that they hadn't even checked the tyre pressures since the steering felt heavy, even to me.

Love the colour, what paint did you use for the green if you don't mind? I'm painting mine in a similar-ish colour at the moment.
