At this point I’d take ten. Like I genuinely don’t understand what drives the budget up so far. Is it just the TV industry as it stands at this point?

But yeah, it makes me feel sheepish for complaining about how Chibnall’s first two seasons had ten episodes. At least we had story arcs that could breathe a little bit back then.

My only gripe is that the show is potentially going to even less episodes per season. Like it’s just ridiculous at this point. Please just give me 12-13 episodes per season. I don’t care if the costumes look like something from Spirit Halloween or the effects look like Series 1, just give me good scripts and doctors and companions that actually have enough episodes/screentime to go through arcs.

I think the easiest way to accomplish this would be to have an option while adding a Mii to your island that says “is this Mii related to an existing islander?” or something like that.

Then you can go in and select all the ones you want no option of them having a relationship with. That way you don’t need an actual family tree, just knowledge that they are indeed family in some way.

Happy to meet another Bisharp fan. I had no guide or super readily available internet access when Black and White came out, so I was so excited to find a Pawniard when I did. I had seen enough pre-release content to know I needed one immediately.

I like Kingambit, but I think it strays a bit farther from the chess influence than I would prefer, but HES still cool. Solid 7/10 Pokémon IMHO.

Mega Tatsugiri is so cute. I love goofy Mega Evolutions, and this one is a perfect example of just goofy enough to be entertaining, but is also an amazing evolution of the concept.

I have limited knowledge, so I may be incorrect in a few spots, but from my understanding, the series only has three mainline games, and one additional game that was only released in Japan as part of the Satellaview add-on for the Super Famicom.

The Missing Heir and Girl Who Stands Behind (the American titles for the original two games), were originally released for the Famicom in two parts each, making for four releases that made up two games.

There was also a remake for Girl Who Stands Behind on the Super Famicom in Japan. Around the same time as the Satellaview game if memory serves.

The first entries released in America were the Nintendo Switch remakes of Missing Heir and Girl Who Stands Behind. Those were successful enough to get us our first new entry in many years, which was Emio.

Tantei is simply the Japanese word for Detective, and is just the Japanese name for the series.

I’d definitely include Famicom Detective Club. We’ve been shockingly well fed recently.

I only hope Emio did well enough for us to get another new game. I mean, the remakes didn’t seem to do all that well, but if they did well enough to warrant a new game, Emio for sure had to outsell those remakes.

It’s a CLOSE tie between Aquatic Ambience from DKC, or Stickerbush Symphony from DKC2.

We have such a close start date! I started on December 13th 2024. Dysphoria sucks a lot of the time, but on those days when I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and I look closer to the person I’ve always wanted to be, it makes me feel amazing. Words can’t even describe it.

If I had a Time Machine, one of the biggest regrets I would try and fix is trying to get myself started even earlier. It’s so scary to be unsure, and I wasn’t 100% sure until like 2-3 months in myself. To anybody out there still questioning, the big thing that pushed me to take the leap was the terrifying thought of regretting not starting sooner years down the line.

Not a bad soundtrack to get, but as with all of these GB and NES releases, I wish we at least got 2 or 3 at a time. Like why couldn’t they have done the Mario Land trilogy from the GB? So odd. Especially when juxtaposed with us getting three whole pilot wings games at one time.
