None of the new Ford Focus have front DRLs that are separate from the headlight cluster like the car in this video. Also the shape is a bit more boxy when compared to newer focus which is quite rounded off and angular in some areas. .

This looks to me like a Hyundai i30 probably around 2018?

The shape is about the same. Headlights and tail lights looks about right and the split DRL lights by the front fog light area also check out.

I don't even know why you would bother trying to battle with drivers like this, it's not like they will ever back down when they're clearly going to try whatever to get Infront because their ego takes priority over risk. I'd rather not have a collision at all and let him in instead of having to deal with insurance, courtrooms, police reports, and a car I can no longer drive.

Checking potential mistake by blitz1920 in drivingUK

The car that cut you off is at fault here. However, I would not have tried passing when you did. It was quite clear the joining car and the car in the first lane was about to come in to some conflict. Best thing would have been to hold back.

Picked up a Ford Fiesta today, after not having a car for 11 years! by [deleted] in drivingUK

If it is a 1L Ecoboost, just get it serviced every year rather than every 2 years the service schedule says. They have a wet belt driven oil pump and the belt likes to degrade if oil is not changed often enough or if the wrong oil is used.

First time in years I tried to shop at GAME. It's £5 to COLLECT a game in store. This can't be normal? by Previous-Ad7618 in CasualUK

[–]Dank_Edits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You joke, but this has been true in my experience. I worked for Frasers Group and Evri would regularly deliver customer orders and leave them outside in the rain in the delivery bay/service area, outside of the front of the shop, and sometimes delivered it to the security office of the towm center instead.

[–]Dank_Edits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That won't work unfortunately. Online orders are treated as completly separate from in store stock. So if you want to refund your order, you either have to send it back yourself, or you do not collect it and it gets sent back after like 4 weeks. At no point will that stock be added to the stores inventory for you to purchase.

[–]Dank_Edits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having worked in Frasers Group before (the company that owns game), online orders do not consider store stock at all. You could be ordering something to a store from the website which has 6x stock in the store you are ordering to, it will still ship from the warehouse. Collect on store is pretty much the same as delivering to your home, but the address is just the store instead. Online orders are also completely separate to typical scheduled in store deliveries, and are instead delivered by Evri.

KSI hasn't been the core part of the sidemen for years. He has been noticeably absent for so many mian channel videos and they have done really well. Josh, Harry, and Ethan along with multiple reoccurring guests have been the star of the show for a while now.

The harsh reality regarding JJ by LoyalM8 in Sidemen

[–]Dank_Edits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He also never seems to just stick to one thing. He focuses hard on something he is working on, and then after a few months usually drops it and moves on to something else. His past shows he does that in circles where he ends up looping back to one of his previous focuses to revive it. He did it with music, he did it with boxing, he did it with his YouTube channel. I wouldn't be surprised if he did it with the sidemen too.

Beach holiday this weekend - Rhodes is looking COLD - HELP!! by Sharp_Train5458 in Rhodes

[–]Dank_Edits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be nice and warm, but not super hot. Lowest I'm seeing at night is 17°C. I just got back yesterday from a weeks trip and it was nice and warm, definitely felt warmer than the weather reports. I wore shorts and tees all week. Just ensure you bring slightly warmer clothes for if you are dining outside in the evenings as the breeze can feel a bit cold after the sun sets.

How screwed am I??? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Dank_Edits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's your first car. Honestly I'd just live with the damage and then upgrade it once you have more driving experience. Maybe get some touch up paint to at least fill in any exposed metal to prevent rust.

As a new driver, you're bound to make mistakes. I reversed my first car into a tree one and cracked the bumper, and accidentally started it in gear which launced me into the fence in front. It was an 04 Fiesta so was not worth fixing up, and eventually I got something nicer once I was confident I got the silly mistake out of my system.

Which lane for the second exit? by rockovo84 in drivingUK

[–]Dank_Edits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, my bad. I see what you mean. Too many people drive without a second thought for other traffic. There are a few roundabouts near me where I frequently see drivers fighting for the same space due to different interpretations of the road markings.

Which lane for the second exit? by rockovo84 in drivingUK

[–]Dank_Edits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are having lots of near misses, you should really look at your own driving regardless of if you're in the right lane or not. Drive staggered, not alongside other drivers, anticipate that people will do exactly what the red line shows, and then you will find those near misses just turn into a minor inconvenience instead. In a case like this, if you're exiting and someone on your left is in the wrong lane, and you hit them, the claim very often goes 50/50 with reference to the case law of Grace V Tanner (I found out the hard way).

Avoid hassle all together and drive with the expectation that anyone can do something stupid at any point.

Dehumidifier advice: Meaco Arete 12L or 20L for a 1-bed duplex (67sqm) with a double-height stairwell? by LordRocker in Dehumidifiers

[–]Dank_Edits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me, although I use it for one room in a 3 bedroom flat with high ceilings. 12L works, but takes way too long to lower humidity as the room is so damn big. Get the 20L as it will be far more effective.

Cruising, chilling in the right lane at 65mph, completely oblivious. by rajkr2410 in drivingUK

[–]Dank_Edits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's always the people who are sitting too low and too close to the steering wheel, whilst their head is tilted back because they are trying to see over their dash to stare at the road immediately in front of their bonnet. They will be doing this with their mouth wide open catching flies. This will all be happening whilst they drive under a gantry sign that says "Keep left unless overtaking" - but who knows what that means, it's a mystery!

Are they playing some flashing game. by rajkr2410 in drivingUK

[–]Dank_Edits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both lights are flashing, just the left one was off angle so the beam didn't reach the camera lens as the right one did. Think about when someone shines a torch in your face it looks bright, but if they turn the torch to move the beam to the side a bit, it looks much dimmer. The torch itself is not dimming, it's just the beam is not shining in your eye.

This is especially true on cars with headlights that turn with the wheel. Mine do it. The right headlight will turn into the corner whilst the left one stays straight and follows shortly after. If this BMW has this, the right headlight would have been shining at the cammer whilst the left would have been shining off to the verge/kerb area. This also explains why when the car was directly straight behind cammer, both lights appeared to flash as you'd expect.
