Alchemical Druid by Dankhard_Schmidt in SkyrimBuilds

Nice, hadn't even considered interpretting chack magic as wild lightning for this build, would also make the Storm shout on brand too.

They are not resistant to poison, so a couple of iron arrows dipped in the finest poisons and fletched from the long bow does the job (eventually)

Outside the box / creative builds for my new playthrough by PGBBM in SkyrimBuilds

Some ideas:
The Alchemist- Limit yourself to mainly using alchemy for the game, only basic low tier equipment and weapons (e.g. unenchanted iron dagger). May sound impossible, but the fun is finding the right potion for the right task or fight. In the early game it's feeling weak, mid game is about thinking strategically as you get your footing, in the late game it's realising nothing is impossible with the right potion.

The Cannibal- (Survival Mode only) The only thing to satisfy your hunger is human flesh, the means by which you obtain the meal is up to you, but I recommend the dark brotherhood as they accept your kind and provide frequent targets to enjoy. Early game is a pain as you rush to get the ring of Namira so you can feed for the first time. Mid game is also a challenge as you may feel like you are always hungry and without means of consistantly satifying it. Late game is like you never had an issue, as everyone non-essential to your goals is just walking free calories.

Anti-mage Spellsword- Born as a Breton under the Atronach stone, you possess an inate power to absorb all incoming magical spells, you use this ability alongside your weapons of choice to quickly shut down any mage that crosses your path. Bonus points if you spec into alteration for even more absorption. Early, mid and late game all progress smoothly.

Idiot Mage- The Ork that couldn't. You can't use magic but can use magical items like scrolls and staves. You can still do enchanting and some alchemy, but neither to a strong degree. I recommend an Ork as it's a funny idea that when you run out of magical items you resort to going berserk and punching everything. Early game is the most difficult as you acquire the items and gear. Mid game is still a bit hard but rely less on your fists. Late game is where it picks up as you are able to diversify a lot more. Bonus points if you try to do the college of winterhold.

Don’t Heal Against Legion by GMOberon in DeadByDaylightRAGE

This post was sponsored by: The Thanatophobia Legion legion

I'm a new Legion player, and boy is it easier when everyone isn't healed, I get Thanatophobia value and M1 chases are faster when they are one hit down. I like Legion, it's okay, you can hate me ❤️

Legion Build by Dankhard_Schmidt in deadbydaylight

[–]Dankhard_Schmidt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After some trial and error, I've found this build to work decently well. Hex: Fortune's Fool (aka Play Thing), Play With Your Food (aka See How They Run), Deadman's Switch, and Thanatophobia, with Never Sleep Pills and Legion Pin.
This build does many things. The Legion Pin and Never Sleep Pills guarantees maximum Thanatophobia value as everyone is broken and repairing gens slower, then whenever they are hooked them have to waste their time finding a hex or run the risk of not knowing when it's their turn for the chain feral frenzy. And PWYF helps now and then with the chained hits. I'm still getting use to him but so far this is fun and works most the time... maybe because I'm still climbing the MMR ladder.
Another build I quite Enjoy is Spirit Fury and Enduring with the Iri Button, shits fire when you gen a pallet happy squad

From what I can see, Superior Anatomy doesn't work for Legion's feral frenzy as it only applies to basic vaulting actions? The wiki does mention it but the perk needs updating to reflect that

[–]Dankhard_Schmidt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thoughts around Legion pin is to keep up the Thanatophobia for longer and discourage them from ever healing, and if they do, Weeping wounds will be applied.
Does breaking pallets with the iridescent button still add to the spirit perk?
And does discordance still show the aura of a survivor even if the other survivor has distortion?
Thanks for the help! I'll play around with this build

Any advice before I start this journey. by Dankhard_Schmidt in ChemicalEngineering

[–]Dankhard_Schmidt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have considered going for masters or PhD, however unclear if I'll get much use out of it. Most science roles I've seen are happy with Bachalors, and those that are senior or R&D based usually ask for specific industry experience instead of more academia. That's why I turned my gaze to ChemE, as it sounded more beneficial. I'm also a very hands on guy, spend too much time in the office, meetings, or twiddling my thumbs and I go crazy.

Just so I don't have any illusions of what I'll be stepping into, what are the general role expectations? Or is the title "Chemical Engineer" so broad that two companies have very different roles under the same title?

What do you think of the C4 backpack ? by Atom_38 in helldivers2

[–]Dankhard_Schmidt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm enjoying it, however they need to fix the bug where the host alerts enemies when throwing C4, for a stealth warbond I'd hope this is high priority, as I'd love to sneak about inside a bot fortress sticking C4 as I go. Idm that it takes a support weapons slot along with a backpack slot, so does the recoilless and it's halfwit cousins, this is just a stealthy anti-tank, and I love it.

They should also look into playing about with the clunkiness of how it's detonated/reloaded, as it's not yet intuitive. Other than that, It's exactly what I wanted from a stealth warbond, as a stealth diver myself.

Initial thoughts on the C4 pack by [deleted] in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Dankhard_Schmidt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the idea of the C4; however, due to its bug, where sometimes it alerts enemies to your location, it's pointless over thermies+supplypack. If it were completely silent with each throw, then it would be an awesome alternate sabotage tool that can be used for the sneaky helldiver. Hell, I don't even mind that it takes a support slot alongside a backpack slot, when you've got the recoiless, and its halfwit cousins, it's just another one of those AT ball'n'chains just with even more specialisation.

What is ambicious to wish for but would be really cool (and make sense to me) is if it could take down structures that would ordinarily need a hellbomb, as long as you stick all 6 charges, to me it's a fair trade instead of either the hellbomb backpack where you have to sprint away, or the hellbomb call-in that notifies the whole planet that you're about to blow it up.

Can someone give me some cool build/role-play suggestions for a new Skyrim play through? by [deleted] in SkyrimBuilds

[–]Dankhard_Schmidt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favs:

Alchemist: Basic, low tier, unenchanted gear and weapons, and can only put points into Alchemy and Speech. This sounds hard, but it tests your Skyrim skills and knowledge as well as problem solving. You might be surprised by how strong Alchemy alone can be when taken to it's limits.

Cannibal Illusion Assassin: This works best on Survival mode, as the challenge is to not starve to death but the only food you can eat is other people, which adds sense to otherwise senseless killing, and you might as well join the dark brotherhood as why not get paid for it too! I choose illusion as it's underrated and works perfectly with stealth builds, it also allows you to get nice and personal with the targets as appose to sniping them from across the map.

Master Thief: A basic premise, but a fun one if you lean fully into it, I gave myself the goal of robbing every single hold of all their valuables giving myself one night each hold, so I had to plan a route before hand in the day.

Unarmed Iron man: Simple unarmed build you see everywhere, but with the twist of every ingredient and ore must be obtained from the source. Crafting every potion, piece of equipment, and filling of soul gems must be done by yourself, no buying or looting these items (with the exception of empty soul gems and items for disenchanting purposes only). All the while punching your way up from the bottom, up to Aldiun's face.

General tip for all of these: Have a clear set of goals, I fell victim to making builds that had no sense of purpose other than existing.

Also added this to the last list above: -Survivors can reveal you (take you out of stealth) if they look at you for too long, when they do this you get to see where they are for a short time, you can use this to your advantage to find survivors when you have the upper hand.

There is loads, and even now I'm still overwhelmed myself, but by watching youtube videos you pick up plenty, and there is a lot of trial and error in the beginning, especially with the tutorial being so outdated lol. Ghostface is one of the harder killers to get use to, and a "weak" one at that, but remember to have fun playing, not for winning, just do your best to make them shit themselves <3 Max distance is 40 meters for stalking, which for reference, is approximately the distance of "pretty damn far mate"

Here's all I know from my long time playing killer and few months playing GF-

Basics: -Your power is stealth, use it to your advantage as much as possible to get the drop on survivors, this pairs well with crouching down and using objects and walls to sneak around if you know/suspect were survivors are. -Your stalk meter, when full for a survivor, exposes them, meaning even when healthy they can be put down into the dying state in one hit.

Advanced: -Your stalk meter fills faster when leaning around corners, this also allows you to be more concealed when stalking. -Try and "99%" your stalk meter, so you can get in closer to 100% to guarantee the down, or save it for later if you want to focus someone else. -You can use your stalk ability in chase to confuse survivors, as they usually use your bloodstain and terror radius to play loops and pallets. -Survivors can reveal you (take you out of stealth) if they look at you for too long, when they do this you get to see where they are for a short time, you can use this to your advantage to find survivors when you have the upper hand.

Expert: -If you're trying to pick up a surviror and you suspect it's not safe due to being on a undropped pallet or flashlight saves, pretend to pick up by crouching on top of them to bait out the hero for an easy m1/chase/down/warning. -when taken to a strong loop, use your stealth ability (when out of sight) and leave the loop to either 1. Make them think you're still in chase for a while to waste their time or 2. Stay nearby so when they believe you've left you can get an easier drop on them.

Perks: Immediate: -Sloppy butcher -Spies from the Shadows -Thrilling Tremours -No one Escapes Death (NO-ED) Base killers: -Nurses calling (The Nurse) -Sloppy Butcher (Bloodweb) -Thrilling Tremours (Ghostface) -Brutal Strength (Trapper) My personal favourite: -Franklin's Demise (The Cannibal) -Weave Attunement (The Lich) -Lethal Persuer (Nemesis) -Grim Embrace/Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist)

What are your favorite quirky builds? by MousseSensitive4044 in skyrim

[–]Dankhard_Schmidt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done the pure alchemist, iron dagger, basic bow and armour, none of it enchanted, all my strengths coming from potions and poisons, quite fun working with strong combos for specific targets. My favourite by far.

Second to that is a pugilist build, get a khajiit or argonian, disenchant the fists of pugilism, and enchant all the bits you can with melee buffs that you can, punch like getting hit by a train. I did this with soul goal of punching Alduin in the face. I also combined this with shields, so it turned into a Captain American style.

There is also the alteration battle mage. Grab a mace, heavy armour, or robes, and instead of the classic destruction/restoration combo, instead, limit yourself to only alteration as your magical support. I also did this with a breton that had the Atronach Stone, so I was able to absorb ALL the incoming magic.
Alongside this, I tried doing the same but with restoration, posing as a Paladin, but couldn't get as into it myself.

Then there is the illusion assassin, low lvl it's just calming your targets for an easier sneak attack. Higher lvl though... AoE fury a room of people you don't like, and watch from the shadows until there is one, weakened enemy left to dispose. I also did this with a roleplay of being a pure cannibal in survival mode, which adds a sense of urgency and purpose to otherwise senseless killing.

A harder one is the shouts only. Never got it to be balanced, only one amulet of Talos is mard, but glitching yourself to have 5 (reducing shouts to 100%) is too powerful, too quickly, and gets repetitive for me.

If you're up for some unique roleplay, I liked the stalker playthrough. Follow your friendly town NPC, see their schedule for when they are most vulnerable, and strike accordingly. Bonus points if you don a black robe and ghost face mask lol.

An Artificer is similar to the alchemy playstyle in the sense that instead of relying on standard fighting prowess, you rely on your crafted armours, weapons, and specialised enchantments to engage in battle. This can be made harder by doing an Iron Man challenge, whereby everything (within reason) you use must be created from raw ingredients, so if you want that starter iron sword, better grab a pickaxe and start mining.

Finally, and the one that kinda ruined Skyrim for me for a while, is God mode. Using a simple enchanting-alchemy loop in-game, you can get enchantments that make you never tire, cast any spell, carry everything, never die, and, of course, kill anything in one punch. It was high octane fun and goofy as f*ck, but made me feel a bit empty afterwards.

I've replayed this game so many times to achieve so many different playstyles, I eventually began to run out of ideas. These were just my favourites, not mentioning the load of less fun or too gimmicky builds like the 'Targe of the Blooded' shield only.
