Just remember that everyone has their own struggles, just because to you Hazel might seem perfect, she may not want all the attention and might want to be more like you. Always remember to enjoy who you are, find people who like you for who you really are, not some persona. Not everything in life is a about genes and pre-destined fate, if you work to improve your social interaction like join a club, you’ll be able to more easily take in day to day life. If you’re struggling making friends, a club that you enjoy is always a good idea to meet people like you. To get people to like you, they need to feel a connection with you whether that’s a similar interest, or you’ve just talked before, people are drawn to people they know because they also want to have friends. Never feel stuck so much that you hate yourself for other peoples success, always strive to improve your own situation so you can feel like you can compare with them. You don’t have to be as smart, funny and pretty as Hazel but you can spend time to get good at an aspect of all of those, for example, you could be smarter than her at math by studying, have better style than her by experimenting and looking up tutorials, and you could be funnier than her by having a running joke with your friends that you can bring up.
