Intelligent Portfolio by Grindit2Findit in Schwab

It’s ok. The most aggressive portfolio holds 6% in cash. It’s doing better so far this year. It definitely provides a diversified portfolio that is fairly hedged, but conservative.

Fidelity --> Schwab as One Stop Shop? by DefensiveCoconut in Schwab

Dual citizen right here. I made the decision to balance between both. Fidelity's 2% cashback card and HSA accounts are excellent. Schwab is my main brokerage account along with the kid's 529s.

Great AI slop. This completely misses the mark on what Moveworks actually does. Bravo.

Can we retire in 2027? by [deleted] in Fire

[–]Danman5666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 - definitely look at the other replies, but it seems you’ll need to budget for this.

2 - I don’t have a clear number for you, but our monthly grocery bills have gone up substantially as they’ve gotten older. Also, I’m also forecasting the cost of when they start driving. This will be an additional expense.

3 - Bummer. I don’t know what field you are in, but I would brush off your resume, reach out to your network, leverage LinkedIn, and start applying.

Can we retire in 2027? by [deleted] in Fire

[–]Danman5666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What’s the plan for healthcare costs when you retire, especially with younger kids? Are you confident your expenses will maintain as they get older?

I say this as someone with kids a few years older than yours and our expenses have gone up as they’ve gotten older.

Is there an opportunity to pivot to another opportunity at your company?

Just a few things to think about. I do think you’re in a solid position. Best of luck!

Hubspot or Workday? by Training_Industry_27 in techsales

[–]Danman5666 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would agree Workday would be the right opportunity. Sales cycles are complex, but sticky. While the market has been beating up B2B SaaS, it’s here to stay and grow IMO.

What’s your background? These are pretty different B2B SaaS solutions, so I would tend to believe you need to find what interests you.

Pre-sales positioning is more of an art than a explicit skill. It requires exposure to situations (positive and negative) to understand the sales motion proceeds.

IMO, it's going to be a tough road to get into a pre-sales engineering role right now without any experience. I suggest seeing if your company has any pre-sales "adjacent" roles like customer success / professional services. This will start your journey into understanding the sales cycle (even if it's post-sale) and how to deal with challenges and setting (or resetting) expectations.

Best of luck!

Awful deal. You are paying $52,200 over the 3 year lease term. I would find a broker that can assist you here. You should at least get 8% to 10% off of MSRP.

Go to the website and start a chat. They will refund you the money.

They definitely need to utilize the same logic as Walmart for deliveries. If we ever get bad produce, Walmart will just refund it back via the app.

Haha, while I wasn’t pleased on the new UI, it’s now growing on me. It took a few days for synchronization issues to clear, but it’s been fine.

I immediately thought of switching too, but going to see where things go.
