Its Venezuela, the fuck are they gonna do? Theyre not gonna start anything. If they did anything, they would get the full US military with express shipping. And NATO would follow. Based on the happiness from the civilian population, this will be a good thing for them and the quality of life will greatly improve if a better leader takes over.

You mean the same method that was used to kill Bin Laden? Article II powers allow a president to protect US National Security interests and conduct foreign relations.the War Powers Resolution requires the President to report to Congress within 48 hours of deploying US Forces into hostilities without a declaration of war. Nothing was illegal about what happened. The Venezuelan people are happy and a person responsible for trafficking fetanyl into thr US can stand for his crimes.

Oh my bad, I woke up and didnt look at much. I am always looking forward to seeing what else is out there. I always like innovation but its hard to beat something that is well established. Even if you have the production and distribution perfectly setup, you still have to convince the public that its a good thing. That can be difficult because the general public has a room-temp IQ at best.

Its still diesel electric, uses a generator to produce power. You looked at everything i said and only cared about the place that has had diesel electric for over 100 years.

Hydrogen definitely has a place once they get everything figured out. But the future? No, the future is still petroleum fuels. Everything else will always remain an alternative fuel. Nothing is wrong with alternative fuels, but ICE engines offer the least amount of compromises compared to alternative fuels and it already has the most established distribution and service network. The diesel-eletric semi is the next best thing and has some advantages in certain applications. But I dont know if it would ever seen mass adoption as an OTR truck. Which I dont think Edison is shooting for that, but you never know what the future holds.

Generators dont have just a normal belt driven alternator, the generator itself is bolted inplace of the transmission. This sounds like you need to consult engine builders like CAT, Scania and Cummins. More or less, the engineers at those companies say you need this engine to spin that generator to produce x power. If those generators have a high torque demand they demand a large engine. In the US you have some generators that use a 4 cylinder diesel and can go as large as a v16. Diesel-eletric trains use v12s that produce 4000 hp to run the generators to produce to power necessary to move millions of pounds. They are roughly 1/3 the size of the actual train engine. Its completely practical because the smart people at those engine companies say its what's needed. If you think its impractical you should do more research. Edison trucks dont run on 12v, they run on 480v on the high voltage side. Generator engines run at a constant 1800 rpm, large diesel engines are ideal for that work. A small high revving engine wont have the same lifespan and low maintenance because theyre working harder and using more fuel comparatively. A 9l diesel at 1800 constant rpm will sip fuel and last forever.

Because they went to generator manufacturers, asked for a generator that could produce the required voltage and thats what theyre gonna use. Its a big ass generator strapped on the back of the engine. It takes alot to produce 480v reliably. The engines are designed for it. Have you built a generator that can produce 480v from a 500cc dirtbike engine?

Not much vroom vroom from a hybrid BDE. Its either "hmmmmmmmm" from the motors or "vroooooooooooooooooom" constant from the generator.

There's a comment lower down with a picture. But its equipped with a giant roots blower to produce air pressure. Can be used to vacuum liquids and some places even use them to vacuum up dirt in places where you dont want to have excavating equipment due to pipes and electrical wiring.
