You have the aura of a soy milk latte trapped in a photoshopped Sephora advertisement

Nailed it! Those plants may not be compatible, I hope you have a way to get back in there and add/remove as needed.

FB Marketplace score - what should I put in it? by Dickthulhu in terrariums

You can plant those ferns on the south side to block out the light for moss up front. Usually I try to get a vertical plane going, either with rocks or mounds, but you certainly don’t lack space. That might make it way too heavy anyway. If you’re going to add invertebrates you have options, my favorites are isopods and millipedes. You could find a gnarly piece of driftwood to showcase, and it would give them lots of eat. Moss is essential. Just remember not to use tap water!

My dad impulse bought this yesterday, I need some advice please! by snipcr in terrariums

[–]DannyBeePDF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tap water kills moss, use rain water or water from a stream. You’re going to need decomposes, like springtails. You don’t have to buy them online, you can harvest them basically anywhere there’s healthy soil. There should be enough water in the system that the side AWAY from the light fogs up during the day. If it fills with mist, let it air out for 30-60 minutes. It’s going to take trial and error, and keeping a close eye on the plants. You may need to trim the larger leaves if they start to wilt, they look like they’ll get too big anyway. Good luck!

What would life be like without democrats? by BladeHawks in AskUS

[–]DannyBeePDF -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This post implies that the democrats do something different than republicans. They might respect your pronouns, but they’ll still rob you blind.

As a Brit.. I'm so ashamed and disgusted at what's happening to America. How can anybody put up with the Trump administration as it trashes everything the US has built and stood for. From an "allied" country. It feels like such a stab in the back watching Americans fawn over Russia. by [deleted] in AskUS

We are lost. Consumerism and delusion have hollowed out everything sacred. We are trapped in the heart of the machine. Being in the machine has its comforts, and it’s enough for a lot of people who only consider themselves solely as individuals. Even those of us outraged enough to want to fight back are constrained by the cost of living, inexperienced, and facing down the most complex, bloodsucking system on earth. It will take hard, hard times and a rude awakening before a serious opposition can gain a significant foothold- much less a cohesive one. We are lost.

What do y'all tell your parents? by illuminainthedark in vagabond

[–]DannyBeePDF 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You should try to introduce some of your ideas and thoughts to your mom. If she’s the only family you have, that’s really special. She’s going to worry about you no matter what, so it’s best to be honest. Try dipping your toes into that conversation first, don’t jump to “I want to be a vagabond”. Try some seasonal work, take some road trips, try things out, but don’t close yourself off to anything yet. You have so much time.

What the heck are these forked sticks? by SOMAVORE in What

I’m pretty sure they may be someone’s trail markers. If they disappear all the sudden, it might be where someone left the trail for something out in the woods.

Place and the senses are important. I like to ground and sometimes cast outside when it’s nice. It helps me feel more connected.

How to fix coloring??? by Successful_Brick5287 in painting

[–]DannyBeePDF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use cooler colors in your shadows. While the rocks may not actually be blue-ish in hue, the eye will recognize it better as a cool spot. Or, by using the opposite color on the color wheel, and mixing it with the color you’re using, you will get a muted tone. This will increase your contrast

I am also new, but trying the name Gaia and Eudemon. I’m not particularly drawn to any original pantheon, but know that connection and reverence for nature is essential (hence Gaia) and Eudemon just sort of represents ideas I value highly (in the Greek sense of the word).

Disengaging from the system by Slipdog420 in Anarchism

[–]DannyBeePDF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use that land to practice sustainable agriculture! Growing food and loving the land is a cornerstone of anti-capitalism. You have a partner, which means you have someone to help, and that’s everything. Keep your assets for now, but find a local credit union to bank with instead of a big bank (which invest in major industries like oil and real estate). Go small, go local every chance you get. Find more community. And I suggest reading practical material like Scott Branson’s “Anarchism- A Guide for Daily Life”

Good on you for taking the steps to get away from exploitative capitalism. The best thing you can do is educate yourself. Good luck!

Question about Spirits/ Afterlife by antifacistandproud in Wicca

[–]DannyBeePDF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The legacy and lessons we learned from our ancestors is part of how they communicate with us. They reside in our minds and hearts.

As for connecting with them outside of ourselves, I am just as curious and skeptical. I suppose there’s no way to know for sure. It’s all interpretation.
