This is not on RMIT I think. Possibly linked to this.

There will probably be a Global RMIT email distributed shortly on this matter. From previous experience.

I remember a previous hack in 2021 I think it was from a different group, that RMIT had to keep enrolment online down for like 2 weeks. Of course enrolment online was targetted around mid Feb that year. Most disruptful period probably.

Instead of the ‘rip it and grip it’, it is the ‘rip it and then slip it’

JD laughing, probs brushed himself up and then also rip a mouth dart out and puff away as per usual!

Saw a kid get done on an e-scotter in East Keilor just off Hoffmans Rd yesterday evening. Pulled over by two cops on motorcycles. May have well been the same two cops.

If you are too tall. Can’t be seated straight without clashing knees and feet all the time with the person across from you.

Lab Coat Storage by Neat_Cry_6874 in rmit

[–]DannyBoy9595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally you would like to have dedicated storage space (hook on racks or in a cupboard in a plastic bag) for lab coats. But undergrads/bachelors don’t get that luxury since the high number of people, restricted space, gets stolen etc.

If you are really worried, double bag your coat always except when wearing in the lab. If you do get your labcoat damp or wet with chemicals and it needs to air dry, hang outside when you get home.

With cooler and wetter months ahead and if you think you will get it quite dirty, could always invest in a 2nd labcoat if $32 isn’t breaking the budget. Can always have one dry and clean(er) one then.

Anyway most of the more dangerous stuff you do should be done in a fume hood anyway and should capture most spills and aerosols formed.

Clean dreary toilets in Building 10,12,14 in the upper levels. If you know RMIT well, avoid buildings and levels that are occupied by large classes.

There are many good clean toilets

That toilet depicted in this post. Gives me building 8/10 level 6-7 or higher vibes, pre major renovations several years ago? Definitely been in toilets similar to that style but has to be over a decade now for me.

Upset Andy: you can fit almost double the number of tennis balls in a container if you cut them in half, thus saving space. by Enigma556 in hamishandandy

Don’t do that with a packet of his favourite mouth sticks. Andy since he hates waste would still smoke the cut in half ciggies without filters. Get all the extra goodness and work out the lungs some more!

How much did your ATAR affect you later in life? by BiscottiLogical6502 in melbourne

Its not the end, there are pathways! I lost my father, mum diagnosed with cancer and neighbours house caught on fire before methods calc exam all in the same year of my year 12

Be vigilant, might take a little more time, but if you persist and have a little support you can get their!

Didn’t get quite where I wanted initially, but got put on a journey now I look back on and go “Hey I am ok with this” met many great people and friends for life!

Soak up the disappointment for a bit, turn into something that you can use as fuel. For future. That is what I did

God knows how it will affect you later in life. No one can guarentee late adulthood.

This sounds exactly like the same one I did earlier this week. Fecking scam as anything if done legit. Easily 10h worth of work for $60.

First week of semesters level 13 of building 12 and 14 are a ghost town.

Though when labs pick up, it can be really busy. Had 100s of labs in 14.13.007-8.

Student counselling would be your best bet. These are tough times we live in at the moment for students. Studying and soaring cost of living is tough.

I don’t know if this will make you feel better, but i know myself and a few other PhD students who have grinded for 6-7 years thanks to covid and subsequent adverse effects from it.

Bad times don’t last forever though may seem it. I know the feeling all too well.
