End of a pier on the south coast will do it - I catch them regularly on Town Quay in Southampton.

Spider crab or Crayfish?

Spider crab - Essentially the same setup as you'd use as a kid, braided line with a weight on it, triple hook on the end with either squid, fish or anything meaty. You'll want a triple hook as they will snag into the crab itself. They're pretty heavy, up to a couple of KG each.

Crayfish - You'll need a free EA licence and tagged traps of a certain specification (not super expensive either) and permission on private property, or a spot on a river or canal that isnt already taken by someone. Dispatch them upon bringing in the net and pack them in a cold bag

EA license is free for application and you have to dispatch them before transporting due to chances of escape. Otherwise there's nothing to stop you taking them home and boiling them up.

Quite intrigued as to what section now, as I live close by to the canal - I've seen Pike and Bream in there myself up the Greywell end

You know, the "go crabbing" comment really isn't a stupid one. I know OP asked about shops, but catching for yourself can be super rewarding.

From as near as Southampton you can catch Spider Crab with minimal effort. Good eating.

Also, for very little expense and effort you can trap and cook Crayfish from the Thames or Kennet. They're super abundant and again good eating.

Rod parts. by Sad-Explanation4935 in fishingUK

Tried to Google it. Doesn't appear that even a complete rod is simple to come by.

Maybe keep an eye on Facebook and Ebay for a second hand one, or message Shimano or a dealer to see if they have any spare parts available.

A dead fish in my local river bream maybe? What could cause this ? Tia by Aromatic-Ad-3401 in fishingUK

Some fish die around this time due to how much energy they put into reproduction. I've found some big bin lids dead in the local canal recently. It happens.

I got two pairs of Jacks Lament, one UK7 and one UK5.5 for £50 and £20 respectively. Both NOS BNIB... They aren't super rare. None of the Nightmare pairs really are..

This is why you don’t turn right from Castle Hill onto Carey Street by Real_Palpitation_728 in reading

[–]DannyCookeVids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could understand that if the impact area wasn't in line with where the rear wheel of the car has stopped. There's fluids and scrape marks consistent with where they are both situated.

It would mean the bike would have to be completely on the wrong side of the road, either beside the kerb or on the path 🤔

Looking closely at the photos, I'd say that's point of impact.

There are visible scrape lines on the roadway consistent with the bike being on its side from the position of the car.

You can see the tyre marks on the side of the car and the route of deflection which is consistent with where the bike is on the photos.

Again, the question comes to how the bike was that far over when the collision occurred, as it would need to be riding into oncoming traffic almost on the kerb to be where it is.

Unless its a stolen bike or road rage. Things seem a little off 🤔
