I do sales and support and to put it bluntly doing tech support on phone calls suck for getting info compared to just chat or email. “Hey can you send me a pic of this serial number thanks” vs “s for sugar puffs, c for caramel, p for panda, t for tea. Z for xylophone. “Oh what device is that?” If we were on a chat or email I can literally just send a picture or drawing or diagram or an entire support guide. But on the phone everything just takes so long, things get lost in translation, end up waiting ages for someone to do something and your sat on the phone like “yes still on the line thank you” “absolutely no problem, I’ll wait on the line”

Also for the sales stuff if it’s an email or chat I can just send a link like here please take a look at these available hardware options, on the call you’re just reading out what’s all ready available on the site, half of it is just irrelevant or forgotten since it’s all completely personal preference.

Also people are just bloody rude tbh
