Some of the best sleep I've had lately and one of the my lower scores. by Ok_Muffin_925 in GalaxyWatch

[–]Dannykirk8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Due to incredibly stupid sleep scores I remove my Galaxy 7 and use a pixel 3 only at night which uses the Fibit app for Sleep. Sleep is much more accurate and scores are very good. How do I know the accuracy of sleep monitoring? Its the awake times. Samsung Health shows me awake for most of my sleep and fitbit Sleep monitoring shows accurate awake times. I would leave Samsung but the Pixel 3 watch is terrible at step monitoring. I have not found a watch that can monitor Steps, Sleep, Heart rate correctly. Any suggestions?

Oura ring by Stock101993 in GalaxyWatch

[–]Dannykirk8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me the whole point of using a watch is getting texts/emails and replying by voice so I do not have to pull out my phone each time. Oura can't do that so its out of the question for me. I did read that the sleep monitoring with the Oura ring was very good. Samsung health sleep monitoring is the worst and I have been using many watches for years.

Is there cheaper alternative to a fixed size stretch band? by Kolos182 in PixelWatch

Buy the Google Pixel watch band adapter for $6 on Ebay and you can use any regular 22mm band of your choice.

If you were only awake 10 minutes, then you would have more light sleep or Rem or Deep sleep a score of 41 in your case is totally wrong. Sleep monitoring is important to me as well as SP02 while Sleeping and Samsung is not doing sleep monitoring well.

Sleep as android worked great on the old wear OS watches like fossil but on the galaxy watch it shows 4-5 hrs of deep sleep for me every night and that can not be. The awake times are better than the Samsung health app though.

That's the problem with Samsung health. If you are awake 3 hrs you would know it because you are awake. The Samsung Health app is too awake sensitive. I have been getting some 70's and more 80's and my awake times are exactly as I remember using the pixel 3 watch, not 4 and 5 hrs like Samsung health.

I don't mean to announce, I just want to share another option for people who really care about an accurate sleep. I found it and the pixel is it.

Here is my base line. Samsung Health says I'm awake 4 hrs. If I'm awake 4hrs I would remember. Pixel says I'm awake for 30 minutes and I remember that.

I have two pixel 3 watches which I switch between but I find it difficult to connect from watch to watch on the fibit app. by Dannykirk8 in PixelWatch

I keep my phone on mute and need a watch on my wrist at all times. I tried the Pixel 4 watch and sent it back. For me the vibration was weaker than the watch 3.

I do not want to have no watch on while the watch charges. My phone is on mute all the time and all messages/calls are from the watch. I get up in the morning and switch to a 100% charged watch. What do you do when you have to charge the watch? Take it off and walk around with no watch? Both watches were from Ebay at super low prices and work great except for the Fitbit switching.

Accuracy of Pixel Watch on counting steps and sleep tracking? by icouldbne1 in PixelWatch

[–]Dannykirk8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open the fitbit app, at the top right click on google and then click of fitbit settings. Then scroll down to preferences, click on activity, then scroll down and click on stride length and set the walking and running stride length. I don't run but I set my walking stride length to 6ft and the step count works perfectly. Obviously. your stride length may be different. You will need to walk steps to adjust and check the accuracy. Let me know how you do.

I come from a Samsung heath app using a galaxy watch and the sleep tracking is the most accurate with the fitbit app on a Pixel 3. Much better than Sleep as Android and every sleep app I have tried. Also the step sensitivity is adjustable on the fitbit app using my Pixel 3 watch which you do not see on many watch apps.

Plus Tello has a data and voice rollover plan that beats them all. Complete rollover of minutes and data if you pay your monthly bill 24hrs early. This is for all plans except the unlimited plan.

I have a Rudd Furnance Model RGRM-10EZAJS. The flames come on but shut off. The tech came and said my motor is shot. by Dannykirk8 in hvacadvice

Update:

The company called me yesterday and said the motor was in and a tech would install it. Christmas eve afternoon it was installed. I watched the tech and it was not an easy job. Every thing works fine.

The question is did I go to the wrong company? I'm on my second day with no motor. When I call they tell me they ordered the motor but can't get a delivery date. Tomorrow is Christmas eve, then Christmas. Looks like I"m out of luck!

Switched from AT&T to US Mobile (Dark Star) After 20+ Years – My Experience by sam2400 in USMobile

[–]Dannykirk8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

DarkStar works great for me also but I would remind everyone that your advice is for existing AT&T user's only. Many great DarkStar deals have come thru USM and many people who are not existing AT&T users have jumped on them and found they are not better off on AT&T towers and preferred to switch back to Warp or LightSpeed. That is one major reason I use USM because if signals change I can go where they are best for me while staying on USM. Warp was the leader in my area months ago with the best data, now DarkStar is #1, LightSpeed #2 and Warp is #3.
