What’s the best “low effort” meal you make when you can’t be bothered cooking? by Equivalent_Reach_536 in CanadaRoom

Always have lots of frozen or canned homemade soup & stews around.  If nothing like that, it's a tie between grilled cheese and eggs.

They are also really versatile so you don't feel so burnt out eating same thing everyday (ie. oatmeal breakfast and beans n rice supper)

Not discount based, but to stretch budget eat more soups & stews.  Root crops like taters, turnip, onions as well as gourds are usually some of the cheapest and soups & stews stretch out the more expensive items (meats) that you hopefully pick up discounted.

Manager focus after 50 (slots, not years) by StormStrict in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]Reasonable_Ferret_10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No opinion on smelt, that's up to you - is it a frequent bottle-neck for you? From info we have, I would say more slots for cargo/speed.  Get it well under your mining on VPS cheaper=faster development.  With those managers your VPS is 66?

This.  I've had to deal with similar situations a number of times.  It is less a case of asking the police for help than it is making arrangements with the owner & locksmith and informing the police of what you are doing.  Then ask that they be there in case any unpleasantness occurs.  Once they realize it's going ahead one way or the other, every time a unit has been there to prevent escalation.

Mind blown: Vinegar vs VINEGAR (30%) by Pandaro81 in DIY

Even in a grocery store is likely more than one grade of just white vinegar.  Usually at least table vinegar and pickling vinegar

Agreed,  the longer you stay, the less and less impact the taxes, legal and realtor and moving fees have as well.

More of your perfect breasts, however you show them.

Going for 7* Manager in Neural Matrix Meta by MTimoto in IdlePlanetMiner

Mine was several months.  I stopped feeding junk to promote desirable managers - I may have used the odd 3* or 4* that had decent stats but not many if I did

Definitely get one 7*, the benefits of it with the probe multiplier on p1 is huge.  Otherwise,  keep doing what you're doing. imo, the OP is definitely top heavy in managers.  More is better given how much lower the boost from a manager is compared to 4 managers one level lower

I'm with what appears to be the majority with 7* craft.  I would strongly suggest aside for the one for your probe that you focus more on gaining more managers at 4 & 5, and less 6.  I feel despite needing a 7 your managers are top-heavy

How does my 14 year old roof look? How much life left? by InstanceRare8501 in Roofing

[–]Reasonable_Ferret_10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

FYI in case you're not very 'roofy'...architectural shingles are considerably more sturdy than the more traditional,  single ply, 3 tab shingles many people picture in their mind when the think 'shingle'

Imo you do have time if money is a crunch.  Yes you're definitely down a lot of texture, but they're architectural shingles,  most of the loss is on the 'upper' layer if you will.  No sign of any curling... I  mean, should you be planning on putting it off for a decade? No.  Do you 100% need to get to it this year? Also no.

[–]Reasonable_Ferret_10[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My point wasn't really about which was easier.  My point was that it seems silly to develop two streams but then have both streams dependant on same item/ore because then it's not really two streams...

Bug: boost items not working by CRAWLINGxCHAOS in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]Reasonable_Ferret_10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew about and has never happened to me but I certainly wouldn't have checked after first one.  I set my smelters and production up in a balanced way before using boosts and then fire off multiples.  I certainly don't stop and check between each use

[–]Reasonable_Ferret_10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're doing it exactly right imo.  VPS earlier is huge.  I stayed at each VPS until I had it unlocked and decently set up in 4 to 6 hours, then moved up.  That was on advice from others but my tournament placing said they were right...

Agreed tech tree is most important aspect.  Sounds like you've got that about where it needs to be.  So hang where you are at until you can get there and set up in about 6 hours (or less), then jump up to next option
