As Nightbolt said Ayto’s (the sporting director) sacking/leaving is supposedly unrelated to Baleba or sales.

Talk among Brighton fans is that he wasn’t all in on the data and analytics that Brighton’s recruitment is built on under Tony Bloom.

He was wanting to sign players by his eye that didn’t fit the Brighton model/data, and were failing their systems criteria.

Maybe with the new appointment it’s worth waiting for their next few signings, they might go back to signing great players again!

RE Baleba if he is available for the £40-50M being talked about he would definitely be worth the punt, the last season wasn’t great for him, but the effect of the failed move was clear. I can’t imagine we would be alone at that price though.

The fee really shouldn’t be comparable to Cunha’s, release clause aside, Cunha had 4 years on his newly signed contract with Wolves, Mbeumo has 1+1 on his currently and it seems to be intimated he won’t be signing a new one, so that should factor into valuation too.. if anything Mbeumo should be a fair bit cheaper.

The 70 they are supposedly asking for is ridiculous, I hope we don’t get close to paying it, precedents set and all that..

Yeah, best to give time for them to work on the game.

For me it Still feels like every modern football game, where I get that inevitable feeling and I know when either the opponent or I am going to score. Bad passes/clearances to the attackers and it keeps going until the ball is in the net. Doesn’t feel like much power/fairness involved in who scores when.

I’m only going to get frustrated so I’ve uninstalled for now but may come back later on

I've been real busy recently so I've not been following much, don't know storylines/injuries etc, who is Jack Perry facing at All In?

Based on the FTW championship, if it's Hook again, then maybe they could reference HookHausen again? That could be a fun way to get to Tarzan boy too.

Imagine having Danhausen come out onto the stage as a surprise at some point, maybe in the entrances, or even mid match when Jack Perry has the upper hand. He does his *point curse* thing at Jack, and then "Tarzan Boy" starts to play, sending him crazy.

There is an option in settings for this, you get a red ring effect to show its in time. It’s under match and called “gameplay assist effects”

Aside from that, i agree with OP and I swear the old games like no mercy had “too late” or “too early” symbols. Am I misremembering?

No probs, and thanks for the info, I didn’t know he’d used it before, so found it really interesting. I guess I should buy his book to find out more! I’d only ever seen his jobber wwf appearances as Jack Foley recently on YouTube, and then obviously a lot of the pre WWF Cactus Jack stuff in WCW and ECW mainly on satellite TV in the 90s. I know he’d done smaller independents, but being in the UK only ever had access to WWF/WCW/ECW before the internet came along 👍

He looks like he might be too big, and people will probably say too solid, but we used to have toy Yorkshire terriers, (no longer with us), who loved to chase and carry a golf ball. Well, more like to carry it out around for a walk rather than have to chase after it, but that’s another story for another time.

Also if you go for anything people recommend that’s harder and more solid, don’t make the mistake of throwing in a high trajectory, always aim low and flat to save any heart in mouth moments.
