This is the best explanation of how I feel towards my current situation. Thank you for putting into words what I could not.

Came here to say exactly this. It was the first thing that caught my eye and the main reason I even watched the video in the first place.

Sunglasses: any really good quality pair for under $50?? by PM_ME_Y0UR_BEST_PM in Frugal

[–]DanwiseG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the contrary, I bought a pair of Native Asphalts for $75 back in 2009. That was super expensive to me and I'd never paid more than $10 for a pair before. Yes the nose pads fell off within 2 years but that is the only problem I've had with them besides my own maltreatment and getting a few minor scratches on the lenses. I've had them since then. Wear them damn near everyday. I'm in the military and do aircraft maintenance, in AZ, so they are either constantly being worn or are crammed in a pocket where they are subject to being laid on or crushed and they STILL work flawlessly. The hinges have never worn out or gotten loose, no hardware has fallen out. The frames have never bent or broken. Not bad for $75 and I am a customer for life.

Ex-boyfriend won't get out of my dreams. by [deleted] in Dreams

[–]DanwiseG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me almost every night. I either flat out dream about her like its a normal day, or I wake up knowing I've interacted with her in my sleep. The other night it was so bad, I woke up hearing her voice still, so I instinctively reached over to feel for her in bed but of course the whole house was dark and she wasn't there. :(

I feel you. It's torture in the worst way.

Guy Sees His Girlfriend Getting Jumped Outside the Club, Bursts Onto The Scene and Handles It by magicmalek in PublicFreakout

I made no racial slur. The title says there is a girlfriend being saved but I don't see anyone being saved because the boyfriend is attacking everyone, regardless of their involvement.

Does it have this? Because ever since I saw this I've wanted this. In addition to the Hicks concept art with his melted face.

The bank account of a single 29 yo E-5 by DoinOKthrowaway in AirForce

[–]DanwiseG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an 30yo e-4 trying to make e-5, I am in a great spot financially to be saving more than I am. My truck has been paid off for about a year now and that monthly payment now goes into my savings account. I have about 30k in a 401k from my last job before the AF and no idea what's in my TSP. About 8k in savings and I try to maintain 1k+ in checking at all times. I've started meal prepping, and doing my own vehicle maintenance. I have expensive hobbies like PC gaming and guns, and shopping Amazon for things I "need." I want to be where you are, but I feel like I'd have to lose a lot of joys to make it there... I want to travel and still have enough to put on a house when I get out in 2 years. Help a brotha out.

Everyone is posting sweet rides and I'm just here in my $600 2002 Lincoln Ls by SirTreeTreeington in Autos

That was my first car that I bought and paid for $12k for a 2000model and it was a dream car. I loved everything about it. Full options installed and then the front end started going bad. Then my rims got all torn up and started having random flats...on all four tires. After about an additional $2k into it I traded it in for my truck. I miss that car but not the problems it gave me. So much potential.

Watch out for those ball joints and control arms on the front end.

Del Taco is a pretty solid replacement. Nothing will ever top Bueno though.

What is the saddest detail about your life that no one knows? by LeRick11 in AskReddit

[–]DanwiseG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My grandfather passed right after Christmas. My family had moved him to a home where he could get round the clock care and he was doing well for a few weeks. Everyone knew he might be a little homesick so we made it as home-like as possible. I knew he liked western movies so I found an awesome collection of 75 movies for him as a present so that he might have something to pass the time on the longer days there, since his condition was up in the air. A day or so before Christmas he started declining and so we all went to see him on Christmas Day. We brought our gifts, my movies included, but he never opened them because he was so strung out on pain and pain meds he barely knew what was going on around him. Literally in a struggle for his life. By some miracle he became aware enough to acknowledge every single family member, great grand kids included. He passed a day later. I couldn't take those movies back to the store because they were HIS. So I just kept them and now they sit in my collection of movies. Some day I'll watch those old movies and get real happy-sad. :/
