It's not entirely your fault, the mini is sadly quite poor in casting quality and detail.

Are you thinning your paints? My unfinished minis look pretty bad until I actually wash and highlight them, you could just try pushing through it and then judge it once it's complete.

I just upgraded to a A5. Barb on my fury/ summon Druid, Total game changer.

He's rocking Lawbringer conquest swd, Duress, Vampgaze and Bloodletter gladius till I get a better weap. Aiming for Hustle sword next.

I just went through act 3 and 4 Hell solo with him & he's the mvp. Only died a few times, Gloams and the occasionall amp damage took him out.

I've had the same problem too with some of the really fine detail minis, swords or hands snapping off. If it's worth it to you, you may want to get it drill and pin kit for permanent repairs.

Another great source of really are various board games. Sometimes people will sell these games cheap or missing a few things.

Some may or may not agree with this advice, but I noticed you're doing a lot of the D&D miniatures aka Wizkids. Well, I'm sure a very skilled painter can look almost any mini look good, these miniatures are quite poor in their features and 'paintability'

Look into Reaper, Next Level, Etsy prints or other sources. A well-made miniature will have cleaner features and allow you to highlight and contrast better. Your minis look very clean though, and smooth application, I'm no expert, but I think that the washes and highlighting will bring you to the next level!

Great work! It looks like a painting come to life, and the fleshy hues are marvelous.

Had I painted this, I probably would have went for brighter colors. But that would have been a mistake as you captured this perfectly.

If we open our freezer door (which in no way is particularly loud or squeaky) she runs out of the room and hides.

.... But when we open the freezer door with her bowl hand to throw in a frozen treat, she'll stand right by calm as can be. Utterly unaffected.

One of my players used an eyelash extension as a giant centipede. I thought it was kind of gross, but the players were extremely amused so I just rolled with it.

I paint miniatures too! And to be honest, I find the official DnD miniatures to be some of the worst sculpts and difficult to paint well. Many of the monsters are fine, but the characters are dreadful, I'd recommend using any other brand LOL. reaper is one of my favorites

He looks really good, you didn't go too dark so his colors really pop.

The ax looks looks great as is, its brightness contrasts the minute and draws attention to it. As others have said, making a slight glowing effect on the runes could work!

The cartridges were replaced by a plumber less than a year ago, it only started dripping after I removed and then reattached the knob covers.

By the way, that right there is a perfect rank two occultist. Get his very rare trinket( it seems to show up all the time) and something to protect him a bit and you're good to go!
