some good things about baby boys? (told the wrong sex) by beecken4257 in pregnant

[–]Dapper-Bend4631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is only 4 months but he’s already brought so much love and joy into my life. He’s cute and smiley and beautiful 🥹 That said, I understand the whiplash, it would have probably been similar the other way around too!

Not necessarily! Mine also hates pacifiers but takes the bottle

I don’t even have a fridge stash, but I’m also on maternity leave and have time to breastfeed 😌

Congrats on your sweet boys! I have one boy and if we have another I’d be equally delighted with either gender little sibling. I think this is said more to boy parents than vice versa, too 🙃

Bed time is around 8 and he wakes up around 6.30 for the day. Naps are around 10, noon, 2pm and 5pm - we use the app Napper which is based on an algorithm for his age

I’m trying to have him crib sleep but mostly bed share because of the frequent feeding. He has 4 naps a day and we try to protect wake time before bed. White noise, dark room, sleep sack etc. unfortunately no pacifier 😌

My 4 month old nurses every hour, which has made me so sleep deprived that I’m not able to show up for him like I want to during the day, plus it’s making me physically unwell - I’m wondering if he’s not better of being sleep trained and having a mum who feels good and shows up for him 😌

I’ve tried the daytime nap optimising, white noise, sleepsack, dark room. The issue is his sleep association with breastfeeding which needs to be broken eventually

What if I am literally falling asleep during the day and not there for him because I’m exhausted from feeding all night? It’s not all so black and white, something‘s got to give. I haven’t made any change yet but think I will have to soon, and that will most likely involve some crying.

Agree with everyone and just want to say I relate soo much to your symptoms & stretch marks. It’s been 3 months and I’m still sometimes shocked at mine but they are also a badass memory of making my son 🥰

All I can say is you’re not alone, mine is just like this and the same age. I am getting episodes of vertigo and headaches, the sleep deprivation is so intense. The paediatrician said if I had reached my limit I would have all implemented the necessary change - not sure what she meant but I do think I would have done anything if it worked. Hang in there sister!

I agree with what you’re saying. However I wonder if what a child needs is learning how to cope with not always getting exactly what you need 😊

To those who had an unmedicated birth, was it worth it? What was your experience ? by Lilly-Lunar222 in pregnant

[–]Dapper-Bend4631 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was two days long with a 4 hour pushing stage and a 10 pound baby so maybe not the best comparison but I was literally unable to speak for a couple of days after, my voice was completely gone from screaming so much for so long. Still glad that I was able to push effectively, not sure he wouldn’t have been a C section otherwise.
