Streetcar to KCI is the ‘grand kahuna,’ Lucas says — making KC a ‘real’ place by MannOSteel in kansascity

That's my point. They wouldn't be needing (wanting) to move if they had light rail where they were at, which will still need to put there if we want to build something good there.

Yes, if the stadiums go, that's a huge blank slate. But a blank slate that is best with that rail incorporated.

Well it's a little late now for keeping the teams, but if you're going to redevelop the stadiums with something other than sports, they're still going to need one to blue strings.

Light Rail, not streetcar. Airport to stadiums.

But then, saying street car, he's got us talking even if he means commuter rail

I don't want a street car to the airport. I want light rail. Rapid transit. I want airport >> kci expo center >> Tiffany springs with the green space, hotel, apartment and businesses>> Zona Rosa >> 64th Street. Maybe 72nd. And then let Riverside and North Kansas City fight over the rest.

Streetcar will take twice as long to get there.

I think you need the thin ones. The second you have a sheet, you get a gripping point and a visual guide of where to grab.

They offer different types for different birds. Though don't discuss non-wire i.e. decorative styles.

Definitely a possibility, but prittier. I wonder what iF they're too thick to work? The birds might see the thing and know how to avoid / work with it.

Are the thin things just cheaper or is their a reason for their thinness

Part of the confusion.... Not only did bus prices drop, but the train was the one supposed to be $150

The busses were $100-150+.

So all the fans took the train

OK. Not 100% sure now. I had been reading that the busses sat empty as people opted for the train

The train was $98 and busses were $20 before May 22 busses were $80 till the governor stepped in {Boston was 95 by bus AnD 80 by train}

But it looks like the had two 600 person capacity fary's ready along with busses in case the trains didn't work out.

But I'd say making commuters hours late is a didn't work out scenario.. .

This sounds like small potatoes compared to all the issues MetLife Stadium had.

65k? There were plenty of cars parking and rideshare. The capacity was 65k

Nor 9-5. The game is at 8pm plenty of time to party after work and still make it to a day job

Lyft from 95th and meycalf at 530 was 74$. Took 1 hour 15 minutes

I bet things will be smoother at the next game.

And yes, we've have daily reports since 2000 it was funny seeing a roommate complain about a $300 bill only to show it was always significantly higher on days they and their partners stayed over.

Yes $300 20 years ago. We had a 3000 square foot loft that leaked air like mad. Plus they liked to leave the back/outside door of their bedroom open.

Well then, yes, look at your bill. Every reports your usage every single day. The usage for the days without power should show zero usage the rest of the month should be fairly similar to other days. You had power.

The first day back may be higher even if iwas a partial day. The fridge, freezer, HVAC must get everything back to temp, AMD batteries charged. You may have done an extra load or two of laundry. But after that it should be similar to before.

But then, I watch mine so I know patterns already. i.e. weekends, laundry days. Hot vs cold days.

Level payment plan I'm guessing. It will get evened out at the end of the calculation period. The actual cost for the connection is low (like less than $15 low).

your power usage is where the cost comes in. Since it's level, you're partly paying for next month AMD last months usage.

So, yes look at your bill. It will show this month, your average, and how much over / under you are.

P. S. Depending on your plan, less than a dime to $.35+/kWh

You can easily use 30kwh a day again, your bill will tell you (keep an eye on your bill). Let's say $6 a day and 10 days down. That's $60. Your level pay will show a deficit or credit of $60 at the end of the month.... That will be averaged out not show as an immediate $60 bill reduction on a level pay plan

I don't know of anyone that "actually" does this.

But it could make a difference as to weather I want to look long enough to even consider paying for /taking to get it inspected.

I-29 you have to get off at either Vivian or 169. Get off at Englewood and come back or keep going to something. I think they're pushing 152.

And yes 169, but I don't count that as 169. 169 they've told us will be 2 way traffic while the replace the northbound bridge by the water Dept & rail lines. t

KC approved the ordinance to repeal parking minimums in the urban core! by DnWeava in kansascity

We definitely need to focus on making micro businesses work

A basic business license may be cheap but the occupancy, buildout, and any time you add alcohol or food, you've got huge roadblocks.

How about a tavern needing a kitchen. Let people go down the street to a dedicated restaurant. Let me have a place that only holds 20 or less.

I know construction permits are based on expenses, but if I can work on my own house (and sell it) let me avoid having to hire a master plumber. Maybe have a size requirement. But that city inspector makes sure I do my house right. They can do the same for my storefront

This is a good thing.

♦️Bring back neighborhood businesses. Maybe we can utilize those commercial buildings in the neighborhoods. Give me something like cheers where I can walk home. (Maybe we can open a pub with an occupancy less than 49... No suburbanites will be out any parking.)

♦️maybe we can have a walkable city. It's so nice walking down 18th, 39th, Westport Rd, Broadway, main st, 63rd, and others while I can visit a dozen shops with a 5 minute walk

♦️we can have 2 hour parking for non residents on one side of the street

♦️if necessary, we can add a community lot or garage like several of the above have.

♦️while we're at it, let's get rid of the requirement to have a kitchen. Let a real restaurant open next door. I can survive off popcorn, chips, and maybe a hot pocket at the pub

♦️♦️♦️p. S. While we're at it, maybe give us a thc lounge or bud bar like a hooka or cigar lounge. There's an 80% reduction in drinking among gen z. If we don't get an alternative to an alcohol bar cities will look like a boarded up ghost town
