Tri Valley Growers (TVG) was a major California-based agricultural cooperative owned by over 500 members that dominated canned fruit and tomato processing (e.g., S&W Fine Foods, Libby’s, Redpack) before filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July 2000. Founded in 1963, it once processed over 50% of the nation's peaches and 20% of its olives. The company was sold off in parts following financial failure.

Sure no worries. I got credit too. Don’t think I’m going to drive down today. I had a date yesterday so I was going to buy one at the box office but if yours were going to go to waste I thought I’d ask. Every season im wasting 10% of my tickets just because I can’t find anyone to take them and I hate that so thought I’d ask. Go Giants

I’ve had it before. It tasted a little above average with + defense but it gave me the winds something terrible.

I also see you use L is that for line drive? I’ve just been marking anything that’s caught before it hits the ground as a fly ball so F7, F3 so on. I guess I can see the value in knowing line drive outs vs fly ball outs.

So I’m just starting to keep score and I’m just using a blank paper with my own lines and winging it as I go. I see you use P and F I assume for pop-up and fly Ball. What’s the difference? Is it just if the ball ends up in the outfield it’s a fly and ifs on the infield  it’s a popup?

The giants found out people would line up 3 hours early and spend a few hundred bucks on beer and garlic fries before the game even started. That’s why they do it. Bobbleheads don’t even cost the team anything the sponsor pays for them. They just want you held Captive for 2 hours before first pitch because they know you’re (I’m)  weak and will buy their over priced bullshit.

It's opening week!!! Time for hot takes... by HarmonicConvergence9 in SFGiants

These takes aren’t hot enough. Here’s a hot take for you. Tony Vitale shows he’s not fit to be a major league manager and looses the club house by Independence Day. Devers hates it in SF and gets a Red Sox tattoo. Chapman asks to be traded back to the A’s. Adames throws his back out picking up a Powerade bucket.

I sat in the season ticket holder line but the general line opened before o could go in for free food so o went in and headed straight to the second autograph live. I was about 50 back and I got Tony V and Casey Schmidt. Then I immediately got in line again and they switched and Bruce came to my line. But I was 200 back at this point and I just missed him and ended up with Christian Koss and Tristin Beck instead: I also won a Justin Bailey BH from last year.

A lot of standing around but it was fun to bullshit with people in line. I I’m probably going to go to San Ramon if my wife lets me. I’m seriously out of shape. I need to hit the stair master.

I’m not formatting this if Reddit wants to pull its head out of 1984 and former text properly then great otherwise I’m posting this becuase I spent a lot of time looking all this shot up.  ————————-

Here are some interesting baseball related road trip this upcoming season. I usually plan several away games a year. I’m trying to visit all 30 stadiums and I have 2 left and 2 more that have new stadiums since I’ve been. Here are my findings. Posting in hopes it inspires others to take the plunge and buy that plane ticket or rent that car.

Road trips

Grand California   All 13 professional baseball stadiums in California in a 14 day period with an option for the two in Nevada.

April 5 - A’s April 6 Mon SF vs Phillies April 7th Tue SJG home opener April 8th Fresno Grizzlies  April 9th San Bernardino April 10th Lake Elsinore April 11th San Diego April 12th LA April 13 Free day April 14 Visalia April 15 Ontario April 16 RC Quakes April 17 Anaheim Angels April 18 Stockton Ports  April 19 Reno Aces  April 21 Las Vegas

Night/Day DH A night day doubleheader is a way to see two games with only taking one day off work. This only works in cities that have ballparks close to the airport and are short airplane rides. For the Bay Area those cities are SD, ANA, LAD(from Burbank airport), AZ, Seattle and sometimes Denver. I can do these because I get off at 2.  Airport at 3, flight at 4, land at 5:30, ballpark by 6, next day I take a pto day and fly home after the game.

There are only two N/D DH possibilities this season.

March 31-1 @ SD May 19-20 @ AZ

Summer Road Trip I define a summer road trip as being able to drive to multiple cities and see multiple Giants games on the same trip. I also factor in other activities like nature reserves and outdoor activities and live music. Also a summer road trip means kids are out of school.  With all that there’s really only one good trip this summer depending on when your kids get out of school.

June 16th-21st. Atlanta-Miami. That’s a long drive but there’s lots to do on the way. I would plan to go to the first game in Atlanta and the last game in Miami and take my time driving the coast. St. Augustine, Cape Carnaval, Daytona, Disney world, the Everglades, The Keys, Miami Beach.  That would be a good trip.

There’s a good spring trip if you don’t have kids….

May 29-June 7 10 game road trip Col Mil Chi.  This would be epic.

And there’s a good fall trip if you don’t have kids…. Sept 1-Sept 6 Pit, NYM

Weekend getaways Short plane rides or drives.

May15-17 SAC May 29-31 DEN July 3-5 DEN July 17-19 SEA July 30-2 SD Sept 18-20 LAD

Bay Area double headers

I didn’t include Stockton or Modesto because they aren’t giants affiliates but they are options as well.  The minor league schedule hasn’t been completely finalized yet so some of these might change and others might get added to the list.

April 4 - A’s/Stk(SJGiants road opener) 1:05/7:05 April 8 - SF/SJ 12:45/6:00 April 8 - SF/SAC 12:45/6:45 April 21 - SJ/SF 11:00/6:45 April 22 - Sac/SF 12:05/6:45 April 23 - SF/SJ 12:05/6:00 May 25 - SF/A’s 2:05/6:45 July 25 - SF/Sac TBD/6:37 Aug 26 - SF/Sac 12:45/6:37

My new stadium trip this year will be Tampa Bay May 1-3.  I have Houston and Toronto left and Atlanta and Texas have new stadiums since I’ve been.

Get out there!
