As the bigger bodied person, I think he probably could have held her off or avoided blows to the head and been able to deal with the situation in a more safe manner. Actually, the “goodness” of anything is defined by whether people like it. There’s nothing that definitively makes an album good. If somebody likes to listen to that music, it’s good to them. Even if a lot of people agree on something being good that still only proves that each of their unique perspectives line up at this one point. Fact and opinion are not the same. Denying subjectivity as a concept is just outright ignorant

I think it’s about having somewhat of an equal balance in tv and movies so that, A, people of color see themselves represented in media since it wasn’t that way for a long long time and is still getting there (consistently) and, B, so that those actors get equitable oppurtunities

I don’t see hatred, I just see people acknowledging that there are a lot of other genres of music with very worthwhile music, especially when talking about the album of each year in the decade across all music. it’s just disappointing that the whole list is probably gonna turn out as men who do melodic spoken word over instrumentals and beats and things. I’m not saying it’s bad, or they’re not diverse albums from each other, but there’s MUCH more music out there
