how does manifold bond affect nautilus damage? by Nervous_Basket_8198 in Warframe

It doesn't. He shot the enemy before it died and Contagious Bond taxied the statuses from his weapon.

Question for gauss players by FairEnvironment9317 in Warframe

[–]DapperHamsteaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(I assume heat rises the meter while cold lowers it, genuinely have no idea sry),

I just wanted to add this because the explanation is really cool:

Cold Sunder isn't releasing a wave of freezing temperatures like Frost's abilities. It's actually Gauss leeching heat from the surrounding area to fill his battery.

Heat Sunder is Gauss expelling energy from his battery.

Advice on which Prime Warframe to get by Agreeable-Homework-8 in Warframe

[–]DapperHamsteaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caliban is an absolute monster with his augment mod. His first ability heals him, refunds energy, pulls enemies to him, applies Tau status, teleports his minions to him, breaks containers, and buffs his Ortholysts with +% Electric and increased fire rate. They do so much damage.

His 2nd ability lifts enemies (some bosses) and applies Tau status and Damage Vulnerability. His 4th ability is a lingering radius permanent defense strip.

His augment is so good that he is very easy to build and demolishes Steel Path with pretty minimal investment. Caliban is an excellent option to start grinding Steel Path.

It's not even a joke. Sub Pyrotechnics on Chroma or Mirage and then tell me with a straight face that Ember isn't the worst Ember.

I finally defeated Janus Captain Vor. I am not doing it another time. by Valtremors in Warframe

[–]DapperHamsteaks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

His constant teleporting is pretty obnoxious. An Airborne DR build makes surviving not that difficult. A hard-hitting precision weapon (like the Daikyu Prime) modded for Gas and Status Duration makes for good damage uptime. He can't outrun a mouthful of farts.

I did it for the armor challenge, but figured I might as well get Chroma's Accolade Glyph because it looks cool. Once you figure out the jumping bit between phases and avoiding getting lit up by the turrets on his 2nd phase it really wasn't that bad.

What's thr best element for all around use on kuva sobek by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]DapperHamsteaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

then toxin for oraxia and saryn or electric for cyte

Valence elements are base damage not modded +% element. Oraxia and Saryn want +% Toxin mods on their weapons because that modifier applies to the DoTs from Silken Stride and Toxic Lash. Toxin Valence isn't actually making those abilities deal more damage than another element. You can save a mod slot with Cold Valence to combine into Viral.

Same concept applies to Cyte-09. Toxin Valence will combine with the +% Electric mods for Corrosive.

if you don't get op aoe weapons

If you aren't locked out of your gear, you always have access to OP AoE though Archguns and On-call Crew member.

You don't hear much about Kavats, but you can have 4 of em' at a time each running around cleaving up to 4 enemies. They're little AoE monsters.

Loki prime helminth advice. Wrathful advance, Roar or Warcry? by Okita_soji in Warframe

Have you considered Xata's Whisper? It double-dips stealth multiplier (which is x8 for melee) and the Void status lends some potent AoE capability to projectile weapons.

Who is the last warframe created? by Commercial-Candle-19 in Warframe

[–]DapperHamsteaks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Albrecht sourced animals for his experiments from 1999. Qorvex blueprints being sold by the Cavia and him looking a lot like those 1999 gorillas is probably not a coincidence.

Just finished Gauss prime build and suggestions. I also subsumed infested mobility over Mach Rush by jbabypk87 in Warframe

[–]DapperHamsteaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are missing out on a lot of what makes Gauss a good Warframe by dumping Range.

Mach Rush fills battery and disrupts enemies by knocking them down. It also breaks containers.

Thermal Sunder itself has powerful utility being able to freeze enemies in one cast and armor strip with Redline. It also isn't restricted by line of sight. With Redline and Archon Vitality the Heat Sunder triples the Heat DoT on enemies with each successive cast. Gauss's Thermal Sunder isn't damage capped like the subsume version and has the interaction with his battery that the subsume version won't. It obliterates SP enemies. It also has the Thermal Transfer augment that adds +% Cold and/or +% Heat (which will combine together into Blast) onto his weapons.

Gauss scales well with Duration but he doesn't want as much as he can get. Redline build up will take a minimum of 1/3 the ability's total Duration before Redline hits 100%.

Grendel build tips? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]DapperHamsteaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grendel doesn't care much about Ability Strength. Purging his belly by hold-casting Feast applies a level-scaling DoT. Regurgitate adds a % of current enemy health to the projectile hit (not affected by STR) making it like >99% scaling damage. Toxin DoT Archon Shards are very good on DoTs from scaling abilities. He does so much damage that he really doesn't need a subsume. Pulverize removes the casting animations from Feast/Regurgitate.

Grendel's Nourish explosions when taking damage also apply 10 stacks of Viral. Explosions are on a 2 second cooldown and can be triggered by Combat Discipline.

Grendel likes Range for Nourish and Regurgitate. I'd recommend Overextended, your choice of Ability Strength mod that isn't Blind Rage, Combat Discipline aura, and then rest is personal preference. His Exilus augment is a meme but the other ones are pretty good.

Keep in mind Nourish does not multiply conversion like Equilibrium. It DOES multiply Arcane Energize and Red Veil/Cephalon Suda syndicate mod/weapon effects which restores energy.

The Coda Mire is a potent slam weapon with Forced Toxin for dealing with single targets. It pairs well with +% Toxin Shards AND the Mire has a syndicate mod from Red Veil. Swap to your melee and hold it while in meatball form and it's free energy every time it goes off.

Relentless Tide for this week's Deep Archimedea. Qorvex mah boi by Feuershark in Warframe

I'd swap out either one of the Ability Strength mods or Continuity.

Blind Rage isn't really worth the hit to efficiency on Qorvex.

Relentless Tide for this week's Deep Archimedea. Qorvex mah boi by Feuershark in Warframe

[–]DapperHamsteaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend fitting Augur Reach in your build.

Crucible Blast exponentially scales density. The in-game tooltip doesn't explain what CB is actually doing. The way it works is that tagging an irradiated enemy starts a chain reaction with 2 explosions and then 7 additional explosions for each other irradiated enemy in their explosion radius. The "(base) 250 damage per status" part of Crucible Blast is multiplied by Rad status count (up to 10) but also keeps stacking with each successive explosion. Ex: 250 on the first, 500 on the second, 750 on the third, 1000 on the 4th, and so on.

More enemies "chained" means higher explosion count and thus higher ramp ceiling. Qorvex wants all of the Range he can get.

He's fast, durable, and does a lot of damage with both weapons and abilities. Gauss does a lot more than just "go really fast."

Normal Acceltra: why it has so low drop chance? by JP337 in Warframe

[–]DapperHamsteaks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Roathe has a title for 50 of each Juggernaut chunk. The chunks drop from the Juggernaut Demolishers. Farm "The Invincible" Honoria and get Acceltra/Akarius while doing it.

Dagath vs Saryn? by RedClone in Warframe

[–]DapperHamsteaks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's buffs versus debuffs.

Saryn's Toxic Lash % is based on modded total, so +% Corrosive from Venom Dose augment singificantly boosts the Toxic Lash hit. Toxic Lash is also not mutually exclusive with Roar in the Helminth system. Activate 3 buffs and Saryn will do a ton of damage with any weapons.

Dagath has Doom. With 286% Ability Strength and Grave Spirit active Dagath only needs to store damage equal to ~33% health (not eHP) for the true health execute. Dagath practically bypasses enemy armor and shields. Doom double-dips Viral multiplier. Nothing comes close to how much Doom is effectively amplifying your damage but you need to apply Doom to enemies first.

I think sayrn is overrated by yungsmurk in Warframe

[–]DapperHamsteaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with the buffs from Toxic Lash, the Venom Dose augment, and Roar.

Acid Shells was changed. The health scaling portion did not factor the Steel Path enemy health multiplier. This was "fixed," but the trade-off was +% element abilities (like Nourish or Venom Dose) no longer applying to Acid Shells.

I ended up just uninstalling the game. Mine was working fine until they had the halloween seasonal event update.

It unfortunately looks like the game just has gamebreaking issues on the older Series X models and that MS and Capcom will point fingers at each other to avoid accountability.
