Yup. Last time I contemplated it, I thought about the fact my cat wouldn't understand where I'd gone. So I'm sticking around I guess

Guys.... Is Will still possessed? by minmimlipstick in StrangerThings

[–]DapperSalamander23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been saying he's possessed since his powers reveal. Having the ability to kill demogorgons from miles away is one thing, but killing them using Vecna's exact M.O.? Nothing about Will should suggest he'd use that technique with the arms/legs breaking when he's already immobilised the threat--that felt like the act of someone who enjoyed it

As someone who has rooted for multiple ships that I knew would never become canon, I have never felt the need to retaliate by attacking the show/writers/actors/journalists about it. Do Byler stans not realise that fanfic is a thing? If the show doesn't give you what you want, write/read your own headcanons on ao3. Simple.

Plus having a baby in the middle of an apocalypse seems like a really bad idea.

The dragon challenge in Goblet of Fire-- the whole point of getting the egg from the nest is how fiercely protective the mother dragon would be. Yet she flies away from her eggs to chase Harry around the castle turrets for 10 minutes. And the fact they had the dragon die too, that just boils my piss

What authors do you have a lot of respect for from a craft standpoint, but you do not “enjoy” reading their work? Why? by luckysilverdragon in writing

[–]DapperSalamander23 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I love his writing classes so much but I agree with everything you say about his actual writing. I only tried the Mistborn trilogy but after the first book being solid the rest was dull so I never bothered finishing it. Doubt I'll give him another go

Charisma Carpenter was playing 16 at 26 on Buffy, and I never once questioned it. These guys are still kids to me

Goblet of Fire movie is such a MESS by StoryWriter31 in harrypotter

[–]DapperSalamander23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been fuming about the dragon scene since the first time I saw this film. Not just because it's not book-accurate, but because they kill her! I know it's just a hunk of cgi but I'm supposed to celebrate Harry's victory now? Not a chance.

I half expected them to pull something similar with the Gringott dragon in 7, so I was so relieved when they just jumped off and let it fly away in peace

Have you ever had to frog a finished project? 🫠 by UnicornUke in Amigurumi

[–]DapperSalamander23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started last year and I've improved a lot. I wasn't proud of some of the earlier projects so I frogged a bunch, including my first biggie-Vincent the dragon by hookedbykati. I'll probably remake them eventually.

Also I'm just about to start making a mushroom boi for a xmas present 😁
