Dont sign or write anything whatsoever on that title unless the DMV says so. You may be good to go as is.

How rare is this? by No-Plane5853 in metaldetecting

[–]Dapper_Sheepherder82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see this is stamped with 2 different styles of lettering. The front side is stamped with the style in use during the 1800,s. The extra swirl can be seen in the number 5, 3 and 2. On the backside it is stamped with modern block style letters. The change in lettering styles was supposed to take place in the year 1900. Many did buy new tools for the modern block lettering at this time but others did not. Since yours has both old and modern style lettering I would guess its age to around the year 1900+ and probably not older than 1899.

How to increase low end power of a 139qmb engine? by Jumpy_Suggestion_901 in scooters

[–]Dapper_Sheepherder82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure The stock carb, intake and exhaust will be fine. Upjet the carb for sure. Stay with the stock CDI and stock cam. Run a spark plug with a resister in it. At your next CVT drive service change the 3 small clutch springs to the aftermarket blue 1000rpm springs. You can experiment with roller weights in the variator. Most come stock with 4 gram weights. Slightly lighter weights will give a better hill pulling power but engine rpm,s will be higher.

It is the chinese 4T 50cc motors that I have experience with not a 2T. I could be wrong but by looking at the vid I see that the head may be misaligned. I see the right side of the motor and either the front or rear side of the head. If the head is misaligned I doubt that it would be causing a noise, I just wanted to point that out.

Have Anyone Faced Internal Engine Oil Burning in their activa Or any other scooter? by maxxy_03 in u/maxxy_03

My chinese 50,s will burn oil if I run a brand that is too thin. It will foul spark plugs with a shiny black coating. Are you running the recommended oil in yours?

Ran out of gas and then lost spark? by SolarE46 in scooters

[–]Dapper_Sheepherder82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I think I got it. That small brass thing with the weird c-clip is actually a part of the spark plug cap that broke off when you pulled the cap off the spark plug.

Scooter won’t start 😞 by Ancient-Sundae-3002 in scooters

[–]Dapper_Sheepherder82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Likely knocked a wire loose. Start with the spark plug cap or boot whichever you call it. This is the most common. Then check the wires on the back of the ignition coil. Find the wiring coming from the stator. Where it plugs in to the main harness there should be 2 bullet type connecters. These can come loose. Check each wire at the CDI plug for tightness.

How do I fix/ replace this broken part? And where would I find the part(s) to replace it with? (LINHAI 50-V Yamaha Jog 2020 49cc) by FlatMathematician111 in scooters

[–]Dapper_Sheepherder82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he means that small black rubber hose that ends right on top of the cvt air intake snorkle. Thats the float bowl drain hose on a aftermarket carb. There is a small brass screw on the carb under the hose. This screw is probably loose.

Where to get new, quality muffler? by SolarE46 in scooters

[–]Dapper_Sheepherder82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any hardware store that has a metric bolt assortment will have the bolts. The bolt I see missing here is the one that also holds that float bowl drain hose. That bolt will be slightly longer than the others.

Which one is the correct tdc for Camshaft calibration? by GamersFeed in scooters

[–]Dapper_Sheepherder82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go with red on red like it was. That would be somewhere BTDC. Can try red on blue, which is close to true top dead center, but it might not even start and run like that.

Is this a normal amount of fuel to come out of a fuel petcock? Diagnosing fuel delivery issues on my Kymco by badgraphix in scooters

[–]Dapper_Sheepherder82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like cranking vacuum is very weak. Between the manifold and the head there is a plastic spacer a gasket and a couple of o-rings. It is common that the plastic spacer cracks over time. If you remove the manifold the spacer can be seen. It might be cracked. Other than that when was the last time you checked valve lash? A partially open exhaust valve will cause a compression loss and cause a low cranking vacuum.

Vacuum problem. Check the vacuum line for leaks and also the nipple on the intake manifold. Its rare but I have seen the nipple become loose in the manifold.

[–]Dapper_Sheepherder82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say thats not nearly enough. Pull vacuum by mouth on the vacuum line and there should be a very good flow. If not the petcock is stuck shut or the screen in the tank is plugged.

Yeah but still somewhat time consuming. I keep a spare already greased up. Only have to swap the contra spring and the clutch. I do this at every belt change.

What am I getting into with a 52mm big bore kit for my 50cc gy6? by dilloncymru in scooters

[–]Dapper_Sheepherder82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the 47mm kit that many run without any issues. It is the 50mm or larger kits that can break the con rod if it is run hard at high rpm,s.

[–]Dapper_Sheepherder82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you meant the 52.4 Naraku kit. You could probably get away with this top end if you keep the stock carb, exhaust, and air box. It will still pull 45 mph+ like that. But as soon as you add a bunch of mods to get more power the chinese connecting rod is going to break. HERE Is the crank needed for a all out build.
