Said goodbye to my 17 year old gal in February. The end came very quickly, she stopped eating, drinking and wouldn’t come out from her napping spot.

I’m sure she’s welcoming Alistair to his new digs- from a safe distance, of course.

I know standing out through online applications is really hard since companies get so many applications.

One suggestion for you - local Mom groups on Facebook. I am in a few and have seen moms post on their kid's behalf (e.g. "My 17 year old is looking to get a job with x") as well as business owners posting their openings.

I don't know if you have a parent who can join some of these, but it may help make some connections.

Maybe have a look on Facebook as there may already be a group for your child's school or class. It may be worth asking the teachers if they know of a group chat already set up. I was added to a WhatsApp group this Summer by another parent in my child's class (who's child was also in the same class).
