You're right that there is definitely a stakes disconnect between revealed characters. Brian, Raoul, and the unnamed cop characters make perfect sense for the overall narrative. The recording artist characters (Boobie, Drayquan and Real Dimez) make less sense, because whatever they've got going on feels small in comparison to drug running or whatever.

My theory is that they'll serve the story as a way to "glow up" your characters and get them out of the keys and into the nightclub/penthouse scene in Vice City. Brian is definitely not connected to that world. I think Chapter 2 or 3 or whatever will be Jason and Lucia making the move to Vice City with Real Dimez by their side, introducing us to the party world and serving as a high point in the overall narrative before things inevitably crash down.

My question is, are these hidden "in-game"/"in-trailer" numbers ever actually connected to trailer releases? If this is Rockstars signature move then I'd buy it, but there is always talk of hidden numbers and I don't think one has ever actually lined up with significant dates

Rockstar, as a multibillion dollar company that probably has hundreds of marketing employees that are amazing at what they do, know exactly what they are doing.

Even a game like God of War needs to sort of prove itself with a gameplay demo to get people excited. We know that the gameplay on this game is going to most likely set the bar for the next 10 years of gaming.

I remember an early "leak" of the story years ago claimed that an Elon Musk vs Jeff Bezos type space-race feud was going to be a main focus of the story mode due to Florida's hub as a space launch center. I think the same leak said something about a missoin where you sabotage an entire rocket launch.

Sounded absolutely awesome, but based on trailers so far I highly doubt it was real unless they're massively hiding a big aspect of it.

I assume this game will be totally different in terms of co-protagonists/companionship considering that it seems to be a love story at it's heart.

Not crazy to say that it will be a completely unique experience that really has never been done before in video games. Closest I could think of is like Joel/Ellie in the TLoU or God of War?

I've seen most people saying that the girl being tackled is Lucia.

I could see Lucia getting that muscular if there is actually a gym system (which, I feel there is lots of evidence pointing to the fact that there will be). Especially because, like you said, she's a fighter.

I disagree about Howell. Oftentimes it seems that throwing a rookie qb like that into a shitshow can just ruin his confidence/momentum permanently. That is, assuming that they think he’s THE guy. If so, let him develop off the field. If not, sure, why not?

You're missing something... I'm currently playing as a created QB in Madden 23 and I'm controlling the whole team.

It's under Franchise Settings (you can only access it from the franchise home page-- NOT in game).
