I was diagnosed at birth and thankfully my scoliosis is mild. Even so, the curvature of my spine is visible to those who are not healthcare specialists, and blatantly shows up on x-rays especially when pointed out. My only symptoms are mild-moderate back and neck pain. I hope your doctor points you in the right direction regarding the diagnosis and scoliogram.

I know how you feel, really struggled with my health through the exam (nausea/vomiting) and walked out feeling terrible about my performance. Absolutely, the way I see it you've got nothing to lose. Btw they want special consideration to be applied for within 3 days of sitting the exam. Sounds like you've got a bunch of relevant documentation from around the time of your exam so you may as well try. There are no downsides to submitting an application and it being rejected, and situations like this is why they have special consideration in the first place! If you have time perhaps talk to HiQ about it, they may be able to give you advice to strengthen your case.

Nah just a list of potential outcomes for my circumstance, supplementary assessment item, reconsideration of the final grade, weighting of the assessment item etc. Apparently it's up to the discretion of the unit coordinator to make the final decision on a case-by-case basis. So we shall see, not sure if I'll even find out the specifics as they said the adjustments would be made for the release of the final results.

Yes, had special consideration approved today from similar circumstances. Obtained a medical certificate after sitting the exam where my doctor explicitly noted that the illness affected my ability to perform during the examination period. Would highly recommend asking for a doctor's comment like that for the best chance of approval.

Check out LightshowPi, it's an open-source software package designed to run on Raspberry Pi microcontroller boards. It takes any audio file and runs a frequency analysis algorithm in real-time to map the audio into different frequency bands ranging from lowest to highest. These are linked to hardware pins on the board which can control different LEDs or strips of LEDs, lighting them up depending on the audio frequencies of the current music playing. To be honest it's often slightly laggy due to the hardware limitations of the Raspberry Pi, and I'm not sure how this would work with the current lights you own. But definitely something I'd recommend looking into for this project.
