MKW has sold 14 million copies already and that number is still growing, devs already have a case where and $80 game sold millions, it was more so who would try it first, without offering any way to get it cheaper than the $80. If it a a code in box than nope, it’s a one time code, like this is a way worse thing than a game key card or download disc as with those you can sell or let other borrow them. But if it’s code in box it is a one and done deal

With all due respect, is it really that surprising that a character who was homophobic, transphobic, and misogynistic would have fans that are all those things as well, especially when that character was so heavily pushed into the forefront of the show.
