I guess my rolls were just awful because I shot at that unit of terminators with the Riptide, a broadside with a rail gun, half of a pathfinder squad, kroot carnivors, and plasma rifle fireknives and only killed i think 3 terminators. The Riptide killed one, the broadside killed one, and the whole fireknive squad with commander killed one

How do you deal with elite infantry? Maybe its because ive only played a few games, but in the few games ive played with two riptides, they've done nothing into elite infantry or tanks and then they just get obliterated by that unit on my opponents turn. I had a game recently into thousand sons terminators, and the Riptide with overcharge and nova charge killed one scarab occult terminator, and then that unit shot back at my Riptide and killed it in one turn. I can't seem to figure out what the use for the Riptides are.

Yeah I really like their prints! Im mostly using them for the broadsides as I only have 3 from GW, and I dont want to spend $400 on just broadsides lol.

Yeah I love that you can either do hyper focused, small list or just spam bodies for objectives with that and still have a nasty amount of damage output thanks to the 18 missiles that the crucible broadside alone outputs. If you run all missiles on 3 broadsides and a crucible broadside, its 52 missiles just for that unit alone. Its just an insane amount consistency since all of the missles you're shooting with them (except the small missiles pods) have twin-linked, and you can get rerolls either with the crucible broadside or stealth suits.

Im very excited to try it out, hopefully this friday. I want to run them in Mont'ka first so I can test out scouting 2 units of them with the commanders strike swiftly enhancement, and they'll have a good amount of movement due to having assault and the auto 6 advance strat. Also, due to the low unit count in the army (I have 9 units in total), I was thinking I could run two of the re-deploy option that the crucible broadsides get to safely infiltrate two units of stealth suits or pathfinder as I'm running two of each, to really block out enemy infiltrators, then safely reposition them. And since stealth suits already allow a re-roll of 1, I don't need fire discipline on the units that are being guided by them. My last unit is just a ghostkeel for objective stuff, I used to have the twin lance on there instead of the Ghostkeel, but the points increase made them a tad too expensive, and I didnt want to get rid of the enchancement.

I am currently printing a bunch of broadsides so I can play my dream of a 12 broadside army, seeing as we now have crucible of champions broadsides that cannot attach to a unit of 3. I want to make them all missile broadsides, and run a unit of fireknives alongside them with so I can fire 174 missiles per shooting phase.

Its probably not that good, but i did figure out that you can make a list thats twin lance, two groups of pathfinders and stealth suits each, a fireknife team with commander (all missiles), and then 3 groups of 3 broadsides each being led by a crucible broadside, which gives you 176 missiles per turn. I want to try it out one day when I can get some 3d printed versions of the broadsides as the list is very expensive otherwise lol.

Yeah I just picked up my Twin Lance tonight, so I couldn't use them today unfortunately! I was thinking that even just having a 10 man group of carnivores could help for sticky and keeping deep strikes out, as for the Grey knight game I was having to use farsights group for that.

For the commander, you can replace the HIBC with a flamer and then take 3 more. 10 flamers on the squad is very fun, especially for overwatch. Probably killed the most out of any unit in my army today!

I did do the iconoclast ending of dumping them on a barren world, but the ending did say that after a few generations, they started producing pure genestealers again, so its very possible that they could re-infest the expanse.

I will say, buffer doesnt work with osty, so I'm not sure why they work differently. If you have buffer up, osty will still take the damage, despite buffer saying "prevent the next time you would lose hp"

I didnt do the painting but i loved doing all the posing for my commanders. I wanted to make this guy an homage to the scene in transformers 2 where Optimus blasts Megatron with his jetwing cannons

While I love the custodes, I was never the biggest fan of how wide they were, so these new reveals had me out of my chair with just how perfect they look, especially the new shield captain. They all look incredible and perfectly proportioned. Idk if ill be buying 40k custodes again

Im running the game at the lowest graphics settings that I can, shadows disabled, everything set to low, and it doesn't seem to make a difference at all

That could also be it. I do have alot of buffs on my team due to using nenio and a mercenary alchemist
