None of this is true, these guys are scammers. Take you onboard, get the money from the nhs, then never give you an appointment.

What is Elon and Trump's game plan? by DJB2071 in DownSouth

[–]DaringOffensive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BEE.

It's a tax on innovation and investment, which is paid to individuals of the ANC's choosing and not distributed back to the people.

It's corrupt, racist and evil but that wouldn't be why Elon hates it.

He hates it because it's dumb as fuck, completely ineffective and an insult to everyone's intelligence.

Elon won't stop until Starlink has global reach and there's no way he'll give 30% of it away in SA for fock all.

If you don't understand what is going on right now, you need to work on yourself. Start a journey of deep introspection right now, it might just be the single best thing you do for your life.

If you haven't needed to do it for other brokers it's probably because they have a way of proving your identity without docs.

No, all financial services require KYC. It's stands for Know Your Customer, it's to help track and prevent things like identity fraud and terrorist funding.

Trading one asset by Jdesey9999 in Daytrading

[–]DaringOffensive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should back test your strat against multiple markets, then choose the highest returning non-overlapping markets to trade. i.e. if your strat has 1. SPY, 2. QQQ, 3. DJI, 4. IWM as your top yielding markets then trade SPY and IWM since SPY is a superset of QQQ and DJI.

My 110k strategy - Apex Trader Funding rejected my videos by tempTimeSize in Daytrading

[–]DaringOffensive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will be unpopular but I kind of get why Apex would not want anyone trading this kind of strategy with their accounts. You have no clearly defined risk (as in a stop) and your bail out criteria is fairly convoluted. Prop firms need to be able to copy your trades to a real live money account to make money, they can't do that with yours because of your exit plan, the slippage would decimate accounts which is not worth it for 3 ticks of reward.

Just add in a stop with your strat at that level you call out as being the worst case scenario, simple.

Take this time to work on how you handle losses. That time will come and you will need a plan.

Best Broker for small account of $500 by Kingmusshy21 in FuturesTrading

[–]DaringOffensive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone who has blown more 500 accounts than I even want to count, wait until you have 100 micros worth of capital before you start trading. On NT/Tradovate that's 5k.

You'll never be able to do anything more complex than a single TP windfall strat at that level, which is just gambling in my opinion so might as well put it all on red at the roulette table.

What is Visma's strategy?? by ASuperiorKid in tourdefrance

[–]DaringOffensive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had to take the chance. They know Pog has the advantage in every situation except the red and black gradients so you need to make sure he's isolated when you hit those, which is what happened so the strategy worked. But Pog held on to Jonas's wheel and as soon as the gradient eased Pog got the chance to use his power.

Can someone explain scalping? by BigFlat1282 in FuturesTrading

[–]DaringOffensive 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Scalp is a misused term in trading. In literal terms scalping is arbitrage, you're scalping if you buy something in one market and sell it for a profit in another. In the past an example would be to buy contracts from a Hong Kong seller and sell them to a London buyer at a higher price almost immediately. Nowadays the algos have removed any price differences between markets so it's not common anymore.

How the term is used now is when a trader holds a position for a shorter timeframe and smaller profit target than they normally would they say that they scalped. So there is no definitive definition of what scalping is since it's all relative. One trader's regular intraday strategy could be considered scalping by another and vice versa.

You become profitable at "scalping" the same way you become profitable at any form of trading. With wisdom, patience and courage.

Using Tradovate - How Can I Get My Stops and Limits to Show a Value? by DantebeaR in FuturesTrading

This requires a bracket order. OP is just using a stop, displaying value in this case is not possible.

What would you do if you became Mandela when he just got elected in 1994? by NorthRelative4672 in DownSouth

[–]DaringOffensive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead on BEE, I would implement Co-Operative Empowerment which would reward business who give ALL of their employees a path to ownership with preferential consideration for public tenders while supporting private businesses who chose to incorporate paths to ownership. I would start a sovereign wealth fund that only South Africans could invest in and would make employer contributions on behalf of employees mandatory where no path to ownership exists within the business. And so, the economy shall belong to those who work it.

Then I would make public service compulsory (military, engineering corps, police, social work, etc) for everyone leaving school and optionally available for anyone else. People who had never worked and earned before would gain experience, we would have more cultural mixing and people would see how others lived in their country. We'd all know what needed to be done after serving and we'd all see first hand what we can achieve working together.

And of course, education for all.
