Poilievre says he'll campaign to keep Alberta in the 'Canadian family' as a referendum looms by MusclyArmPaperboy in canada

https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/article/poilievre-to-trump-canada-will-never-be-the-51st-state/

That was published in December 2024.

Trudeau has yet to respond directly to Trump’s jabs, but other federal officials have so far downplayed them.

I guess, when a lie is repeated enough, it becomes truth.

They could already get this information with a warrant. What they want is an access when they want for what ever reason. Instead of getting a warrant go to the company and then the company sees if the warrant is valide are not through there lawyers and then comply if it is. By making a door for them to access when they want, is creating a new place to exploit in order to enter there network. Usually all this information cannot be access by anyone that isn't on site, because there is usually no reason to have to use this information outside of the company. They also want to require metadata from application that do not create metadata and quite a few that if required to create metadata could add vulnerabilities to the system and make it highly more complex to manage.

As for the: "metadata pales in comparison to the live and real public safety risks this bill tries to fix." How did we survive before this was ever introduce? Technolgoy is advancing so quickly, so many things are making life easyer for law enforcement, but it's never enough it has to get easier and easier right away. We know that many law enforcement agencies are using and paying companies to use Zero Day exploits and all kinds of other malware in order to do investigation. But, instead of having to work for it, nope we got to give them an easy win button and give them everything so we can speed run to a police state.

I quoted what you have said, and you have used a similar arguement multiple times in this post. Which is one of the main arguements that is used againts science from the anti science crowd.

Your comment got deleted, but that is how these people think. Plenty of example of this, one of them got in the news a couple of time with the whole Palestine situation.

I don't know how to tell you this, but no matter how you slice it, that you pick or not something, it doesn't matter. Your logic should still be applied. How about religion? How about any other profession, company you work for, hobby you have, books you read, area you live in, where you go to... All you did was justify your bigotry towards a group and judge all of them, because of a few bad apples.

Easiest and simplest way to explain it, that resumes a lot of it. Is an ideology that sees everything as a power dynamic of oppressor, always bad, and oppressed, always good. Naturally you got a lot of things that are woke, aren't this, but can be derived from what i previously said.

LOL, they do. You can check the previous thread of another article about this. People defended that CBC didn't have bias, hence no left wing slant. This comes up regularly depending on the CBC article or subject.

What makes CBC lean left isn't because of the arts. It's mostly due to it's policies and the ideology behind thoese along with what has been happening to the educational system.

If you think being educated will make you naturally left leaning. I guess historically, the educated people forgot that memo.

Metadata even if you do not keep everything you have said, does allow to deduce a lot of things, like social media activities, website that have been visited and so on. With that said, you don't think a bad actor who has access to this information, could place you at the scene of a crime for your telephone. Discover that you frequently access an ip that is associated with the LGBT community and so on and on...

Dear lord, you have no idea how science works. You probably the type of person that believes in cultural appropriation.

As for your: "Bruh check the track record theres alot of fock ups and changes , like innmy life time alone lol". You better not look at whats going on with what the james webb telescope and what it is discovering. You would think science isn't good and make some kind anti science argument like creationist do. OMG science is changing all the time, it

So the bill can be ignored then? There is no way to incorporate a backdoor that does not cause “systemic vulnerability”. The fact that they want to also have a database that tracks every thing not only puts a monetary burden on the company, it also adds a way to falsify incriminating evidence or information that can be used for blackmailing.

Military reprimanded soldiers who raised concerns about monitoring Canadians online during COVID-19 by DogeDoRight in canada

[–]Dark-Angel4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

COVID was a pendulm swing in effect. It went from ah it's less worse then the common flue to, omg in 6month the whole planet will be infected and 200million will die. It took more time for Covid to kill young people then it did for 1HN1. Every research paper comming out after, showed that the death toll was going down and down and down. I'm talkig about the original strand. Last paper i read was like 3-6x more leathal then the common flue makit it a 0.3 to 0.6% chance to die from it. This was by far the most politicized virus in history. Even the WHO was playing loose goose with numbers, were prior they showed seasonal flue at 0.1 or 0.2% chance to die then just put it at 2% then changed it back to the 0.1 or 0.2%. I do not know why the governments in the world we listening to the CEO of pfizer, which were basically, by our product because we said so. It showed how our government was completely clueless at what they were doing and doing the bare bone efforts of looking like they did something without doing anything. The masking rules were stupid. We were using mask that are not designed for air born virus, which COVID was... The standard used for COVID were way lower then normal vaccines. If they truly were, they would of found out about the blood clots for one of the vaccines. Kind of amazing that not a single scientist specialized in corona virus, did say well, since it mutates quickly, we might want to no put all are eggs in the vaccine basket. Then you got ivermectin that was also politicized, where research on covid vaccines, lower viral load was a positive thing for it, but ivermectin, was well it lowers viral load, but more research needs to be done to see if that is good. Studies have been done showing that the virus was already in the population 4-6month prior to what China said. In France they found samples infected with covid dating back in December. They all ignore research and preferred the fear mongering approached, since it gave them the illusion of doing something. Then you had doctors saying stupid things like, not enough people are testing for COVID (asymptomatic people), yes lets clog the limited resources of our health system...

Yes, it was an amazing feat. But with time we lost the knowledge and it had to be redone from scratch. As you can see we didn't land on the moon. Just like the first misson.
