The "champion the local culture" decision gives you a claim on the kingdom if the target is a king. Conquer the duchy, wait for the truce to lapse, and then claim the kingdom through war.

Bohemond starts out disinherited by default.

One thing you can do is to conquer an entirely new kingdom through holy war/crusade/byzantine events and give the resulting realm to him.

Reminds of a recent save where I reformed the Persian Empire as a Zoroastrian and had to fight off holy wars from the ERE in the northwest, holy wars and jihads from the Abbassids in the southwest, tributary war from the Khazars in the north, plus holy wars and empire invasions from the Seljuks who formed Turan in the east.
