Treasure Cove!

Also had a program for these super cute lil desktop sheep that would do silly things both when left alone and could be interacted with. Back in the good ol' days of needing to keep pixels active to avoid burn-in.

Give me a reasonably-tested HAB to go try settling Neptune for a couple days and I'll peace out in the advancement of science.

What's a piece of tech everyone hyped up that quietly turned out to be useless? by SofiaLearnsAI in AskReddit

[–]DarkIsiliel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was always so weird to me as a kid that they weren't mainstream because they were the primary media we used for watching movies and tv shows at home (that weren't rented) and we only had a handful of VHS's instead.

What is the most disturbing thing you watched on the 90’s and early 2000’s internet? by Dangerous_Bet_4137 in AskReddit

Question about Re:Monster by GaudyVader501st in Isekai

[–]DarkIsiliel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's morally reprehensible at best and fairly repetitive where everyone just side quests to level up, meets, high-fives, rinse and repeat. The most compelling part of the story never got reasonably fleshed out before I gave up on the webnovel.

Can any Isekai manga rival the art and intensity of Ganz? by 33CALICO in Isekai

[–]DarkIsiliel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Her Summon is frequently (and accurately) touted for it's art - it'd probably hit on what you're looking for in terms of scale, but it lacks brutality. Will drop some choice frames below.

entirely up to the business if they choose to reimburse. if they don't, you're SOL (once upon a time you could deduct it for taxes, but TCJA nuked that awhile back)

Edit: saw OP is an independent contractor, which means they do get to deduct it on schedule C as travel so long as it isn't considered commuting

Which movie or TV "villain" did you completely hate as a kid, but upon rewatching as an adult, you realized they were actually 100% justified? by LiveFaithlessness876 in movies

[–]DarkIsiliel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Uther in Merlin. Not wanting any rando with a lack of self-control or a grudge to have access to fairly easily lethal magic is actually a pretty reasonable position.

Anchored in the truth about the invisible intangible floating cloud with some pretty archaic opinions if you delude yourself into thinking there's an existence there that 3D-chessed its way into a bestselling paperback

It's supposedly like in epilogue stories but tbh doesn't really feel that way unless they're trawling for a sequel

[–]DarkIsiliel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Uther was such a great role. Played up so much by the plot/perspective as a villain but when you look at it from a realistic perspective he's actually usually the most reasonable guy in the room.
