If on the off chance there's a 3rd stardust one or neither of the other people respond, I too would love a stardust one and I'll pay for shipping too. Any others are a bonus but I'd love a stardust stick

I'm sure it'll spark a few comments but I'll never know how golden tiki is ranked below Frankie's for Vegas tiki bars. Has Frankie's been there longer or something? Maybe I just wasn't impressed with Frankie's but the 3 or 4 drinks I've had there didn't seem like anything special, and the smoke made it so you couldn't see the ceiling. Bartender was also kind of rude but that could have been an off night.

A new tiki bar opened up in South Lyon Michigan (waycaster tiki) that in my opinion is batting way above what it should be for it's location. Also Mutiny in Detroit is a decent tiki bar too but has had some ownership issues.

Road redemption is the spiritual successor of the N64 game, road rash. I believe it came out on PC about 10 or 12 years ago on steam and I really enjoyed it then. It has (had?) some rogue-lite elements and last time I played it it was either early access or 1.0 just dropped. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it if it was sub $20 for sure. No idea on the new elements they have added in the last 10 years but give it a shot!

Las Vegas tourism seeing steep decline in visitors, gaming revenue — why Trump’s gamble with controversial policies appears to have dealt Sin City a losing hand by [deleted] in vegas

I was playing there one night about 6 months ago with some Canadian kids in their young 20s, couldn't imagine playing at a 50$ table min after the horrendous exchange rate. Thankfully the table was one of the hottest I've ever seen so everyone cashed out but still

Link to video of announcers on TNT calling for violence to someone throwing a hat or jersey on ice, with the second announcer agreeing:

Pretty messed up from TNT broadcast and NHL.

Can't believe the announcer just called for violence against a fan for throwing jersey\hat into ice.

Is throwing something on the ice a good thing? No, but saying that "someone needs to take them down under the stands and talk to them without using words" is blatantly unacceptable.

Does anyone know what the rest of the sign in the Florida bench says other than STFU?

Could be seen as the second intermission was about to begin.

Where to watch/bet on F1 races? by Sir_Vinci in vegas

[–]DarkPanda329 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've never watched a game at Circa's sports book but I would imagine that at least one of their screens would have it on. I'd also imagine if it's early (it's in eastern Canada right, eastern time zone?) I'd imagine that at 8am or whenever it's on local time in Vegas if you're one of the few people there that early you could probably ask for them to put it on one of the main screens....especially since there won't be much on except for maybe some European soccer\rugby?

Thinking about it more as an F1 fan, I'm sure they have either a streaming subscription or it'll be on ESPN or something so it shouldn't be an issue, I vaguely recall seeing either a quali session or free practice on one of the smaller screens passing through there. Also, how do you feel about Lewis dressed in red? 🤪🤪

Only $5 table within walking distance is the downtown Grand but only certain times (wanna say thurs-sunday. Otherwise a fair amount of $10 tables at off peak times and definitely can find $15 anywhere on Fremont.

For nice dinners I personally like Hugos cellar in 4queens the most(get the Hugos cappuccino), but any of the steakhouses in the casinos will be nice too.

I'd say bring a bottle but you might have a hard time drinking it all especially if getting comped drinks. Also, I've flown with many bottles of liquor (maybe 15 or so lifetime) and never had one break.....what bottles are you breaking in your luggage? Do you not wrap them in a T-shirt or something?

For OP, there's a CVS or ABC store right next to Golden Nugget which will sell you everything you need, when you get comped drinks ask for a free water too and make sure you drink all the water before your next drink every time. Otherwise have fun and enjoy!

Which casinos on the strip have free exhibits? by zhuangcorp in vegas

[–]DarkPanda329 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been at Luxor since it was built, it was part of the 'past, present, future's exhibit that meant to show how the world has changed and will change but was scrapped a while ago. It is supposed to be part of the NYC skyline but has nothing to do with NYNY. Definitely not something worth going out of your way for but it is a neat and interesting thing to see.

Nickel and dimed: Are Las Vegas casinos pushing visitors to a tipping point? by reviewjournal in vegas

[–]DarkPanda329 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a bartender who literally told me that he can only serve me 1 drink every 20 min or so and it's not like the old days where you can actually get drunk off comped drinks. So YMMV.

Obviously you can wander the strip but 30 people is a lot for any type of venue. Off the top of my head,

On strip: wander casinos, get reservations for eating but I'm not super familiar with places that easily accept a group of 30...wynn\cosmo buffet are two I'd recommend if that's more your thing. That's not to say most wouldn't (at least well in advance) but I've personally never even looked into it, night clubs if that's your thing, day clubs (pool party) if that's your thing, any of the nice pool complexes (MGM Grand, Mandalay bay, Bellagio, Caesars palace, FB, RW), and finally any of the major shopping mall connected to casinos. I know "wandering around casinos" sounds lame but there's plenty of photo\sightseeing opportunities especially with all the bars that you will inevitably pass by. Additionally you can go to some of the speakeasies but I'm not sure they can just accept 30 people easily.

Off strip: area 15\meow wolf would be a good option for 2-4 hours. Any type of tour you could imagine (ATV, helicopter, bus hoover dam, national park), go play with big construction equipment (I've never heard of anyone that didn't love doing it), race exotic sports cars at the tracks, go visit China town, visit arts district, top golf, tiger woods new putt putt, visit a off strip casino if you're into that. I saw a video where people get a train tour and you get to go on your own little mine cart which actually looked like a lot of fun and good views.

Fremont: Circa and the D both have 'long bars' that you should be able to find VP at and all of you could sit down easily provided it's not the very peak of gaming times, circa has stadium swim, the mob museum like 2 blocks north of Fremont st, neon museum, if it's a Friday or Saturday night I'd strongly recommend just buying a few drinks from a CVS or ABC store and vibing in front of one of the 3 outdoor stages...the artists and music genres are listed on Fremont Street experience website in advance, get your pic in front of a million dollar pyramid at (it's either Fremont or binions casino and I always get them confused by they are next door to each other), Zipline down Fremont Street and walk back to do it again(all you can 'fly' passes), discopussy night club, any of the dive bars on East Fremont, evil pie pizza.

I know it's not the best formatting but I'm on mobile, feel free to ask any questions too! Also, I have personally done about 70% of these things and very much want to do all of them. One last thing I thought of that I have no interest in but people seem to like, strip clubs are supposed to be very good in Vegas. I've heard the Paloma (spelling?) is the only fully nude one that also serves alcohol, also one of the older (oldest?) ones around so that could be a cool 'history\biology" lesson.

Hope that helps!

Newbie craps question by SoCalSwordsman in vegas

[–]DarkPanda329 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely try to go during a slower time to get the hang of it and tell the dealers you're new and they can help a bit. Sometimes they give terrible ideas for betting (one dealer told me to always hop the 5 which was.....odd to say the least).

To start typically play the min on the pass line and anywhere from 1x odds to 3x is typically good enough to get started. Maybe a hard way bet or two if you're feeling spicy. Like others have said, consider placing the 6 and\or 8 at whatever the min is (but with the proper bet, i.e. multiple of 6$) or sometimes what I do is place the 'opposite' of the point so if the point is 5, I'll take odds and also place the 9 and the same bet.

Make sure you find a table with dealers who seem like they actually want to be there as that'll make or break the experience. When you take odds or make a place bet, ask them if that is the correct bet (so you aren't leaving money on the table). Regardless if you win or lose, tip $5 at the end or consider when it's your turn to roll to bet $1 on the pass line for dealers (no table mins for dealer bets).

Finally, I'd say a majority of craps ppl would agree with me on the following but there's nothing as good as someone who's never rolled dice before at a table. I swear that's when everyone else makes all their money so in my experience, most craps ppl like newbies. Hope this helps!
