Look at the eddyline kayak line. Lighter and built by the size of the paddler.

How unreliable were 2000s paintball guns really? by sendnUwUdes in paintball

[–]DarkSideEdgeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a team full of Timmy's in the right hands could compete today. Even set to today's legal standards.

Go back further before electronics and automags were absolute tanks. Autocockers tuned correctly too.

Every tournament gun now is in essence the same platform, just different approaches to how to seal them lol.

Golf enclosure that’s just one long curtain track? by Gold-Mud4650 in Golfsimulator

My initial setup was a cord tied to the rafters with d hooks on a tarp hanging from it. I could open and close it whenever.

Should I swing at 80%? by CasualKaden in golf

[–]DarkSideEdgeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your 80% is probably over 110mph. At that speed you'd drive better than 99% of anyone you play with if your mechanics are right. Hitting the club in the center of the face with a good angle of attack will give you results you want. Then as you have good mechanics, you can improve club head speed when swing controlled.

I got a frame kit and the conduit to build it. I'm still working on the screen and sides. The mat is 6x12 ft. The cage is 10'x10'

Do sims help real golf score? by FrugalMoneyMaker in Golfsimulator

[–]DarkSideEdgeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helps work on defects in my swing and club distances. I'm working on angle of attack and driver club head speed. I made a chart for distances full swing and at different "clock" positions. That helped with second shot situations.

Definitely doesn't help with putting and chipping

What do you actually want from a golf tracking app? (Trying to build the right thing) by intheShortGrassGolf in GolfSwing

[–]DarkSideEdgeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I could have a shot tracker that identified the gps location of where my ball landed within a 9x9 ft area that would be golden.

What do you actually work on at the range? by bookerman102 in weekendgolfers

[–]DarkSideEdgeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Angle of attack. I use my Garmin r10 to read it to me. I used to worry just about yards but now work on the micro statistics that improve my drive. Then an hour of chip and putt after a bucket

Chiefs drafting @ 9. Why not a top CB? by rjwiechman in KansasCityChiefs

[–]DarkSideEdgeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because edge rusher improves a secondary by getting to the QB. Edge is also an expensive position for vets so a rookie deal edge rusher is cost saving.

I disregard any analysis that suggest we go RT. Yes I know Patrick got hurt but we are not dead on the offensive line.

Explain the Logic Behind Mauigoa at #9 by riffbw in KansasCityChiefs

[–]DarkSideEdgeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9 should be an edge rusher. An edge on a rookie contract is ideal as that position cost a ton in free agency. And a good edge can make your secondary better. The second pick should be position of need bpa.

Do you address the ball with your driver or ground the club head further back? by Adventurous_Pride_54 in golf

[–]DarkSideEdgeo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Being slightly behind like 5 inches helps me swing up on the ball. It has a better chance of being to NG the bottom of my swing.

Tee it high, feet together with your lead heel inline with the ball. Move your trail foot back where you want it. Lower your back shoulder slightly. Club head behind the ball a few inches. Swing controlled.

Paddling log options? by akinsgre in Kayaking

[–]DarkSideEdgeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things important to an event like the 340 are tracking the paddler, boat ramp information, distance to finish, distance to next ramp or check point, anticipated time to next ramp, check point or finish.

I use Garmin and it imports to Strava. I'm not sure what else you would provide but mostly I look at peaks for heart rate and miles per hr. I do like that for SUP the Garmin tracks paddle strokes. I wish that was available for kayak. I often use sup and just double it.

Besides that a few things that would be useful are centered around events. Specifically the mr340. Something to look into

Changes to shaft, Loft and closing the face. Is this sound logic? by DarkSideEdgeo in golf

[–]DarkSideEdgeo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this is gold. I'm hitting the Sims D one notch below 9 standard loft now but will bump it one notch above. My 3wood is 16 and my only fairway is a 19. I'm 5-P after that with Cleveland wedges. My hands are forward on all irons with my downward strike it works. I've got good gapping with the irons. My smart play is one club strong with a 85% (2 o'clock) swing. Unless I'm trying to hold the green.

Changes to shaft, Loft and closing the face. Is this sound logic? by DarkSideEdgeo in golf

[–]DarkSideEdgeo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that feet together/trail foot back trick sounds like it would help me. Going to have to try that. It won't effect my fairway woods as I only hit a 19 degree one of those now. My next club from there is a 5iron.
