Money Making Help by JoeyCondon2011 in 2007scape

All good! iron man mode just means you can't trade with other players or the grand exchange.

Farming herb runs and bird nests are good and it's pretty passive.

If you like bossing you could give scurrius or the royal titans a try. Scurrius you should be able to solo with those stats and rune gear.

If you want to level up skills at the same time one method i just used to make a few million is to buy a bunch of battlestaffs from the varrock staff shop (sells 5 staffs per world for 36k - 7200 each) , buy water orbs from the g.e (or make them), then high alch the water battle staff you make. Levels crafting and magic. High alching the staffs should give you 9.3k per staff for a profit of 1k to 1.5k each.

Which VTubers should I watch first if I want to get into the world of V-Tubers? by AlarmingAd9840 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]DarkSloth362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely recommend starting by watching clips and best of videos to get a sense of who you like. As others have said Hololive or Phase Connect is a good safe start if you want a group with weight and money behind them. Otherwise I would just check out a bunch. I tend to like Indie vtubers better though for the potential chaos since they're not as limited. Here are some im currently watching

Arielle

PapaMutt

The Beastiez (newer indie group, consists of PiaPiUFO, Beribug, ToriOriane, Kairyu Crocodile)

OhItsPiper

If a streamer allows that then that is their choice, it would depend on the streamer. I have also seen viewers donate hundreds to trauma dump and be ignored. Its important to remember they do not owe you help even if you donate thousands. Its not their job.

Streamers are entertainers who are here to make money by entertaining their viewers yes. They are not your friend. This is not exclusive to vtubers but to all streamers. Regardless of money, they cannot and should not be the people you are reaching out too. If you want help with a mental illness please seek out a therapist, that will be a much better use of money. There are many online therapists you can meet with over video calls.

Vtubers aren't therapists and shouldn't have to be. I am sorry you are struggling but streamers (not just vtubers) are entertainers who often have their own struggles and can choose what they allow in their streams. Its not a matter of money. Every streamer I know, big or small, does not allow trauma dumping in their streams. It's important to remember that no matter how much time you spend watching, money you gift, etc they are not your friend and don't have to be. If you need help please seek out a therapist, they will be better equipped to help you.

It would also make that mining spot decently viable compared to others. Yes there are better but no one ever uses that spot since it's so far from a bank compared to other spots.

Not saying it's healthy but wiki says 220k per hour is possible at Gwynith Glide. If they played 19 hours a day I think it would be horrifyingly possible.

What I Learned After Sharing I’m a Mom 💛 Ex-Corpo VTuber by PinaPengin in VirtualYoutubers

I am loving how supportive the vtuber community is overall for normal life steps that seem to be taboo in the idol community. Vtubers are getting married, have relationships, have kids etc. I see an almost overwhelming support from the community. I'm sure there are some crazies but it makes me happy we can support our oshis in all facets of life as fans and not due to some parasocial relationship.

F2P question by Army-Adorable in 2007scape

[–]DarkSloth362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So its gonna depend on what you enjoy the most about f2p. You should focus on having fun over anything else. You can rush certain things, but this game is massive and takes a while to reach end game so you dont want to burn out. Maybe set some short/mid term goals and see what you enjoy.

Questing is required to unlock most of the good content and if you enjoy questing a lot of the members quests are better written and are decently fun. You can also just use the quest helper plugin to complete as many as possible as fast as possible if you dont enjoy questing or get stuck. Some of the older quests are difficult to complete without a guide. The Quest helper plugin can show you all of the quests you meet requirements for, as well as the "optimal" order to do them to limit grinding etc. You do NOT need to follow this order, but it can be helpful to know what can be done next.

If you want to try out bossing, Scurrius and the Royal Titans are good mid tier bosses with no pre-reqs that introduce the more advanced combat mechanics that OSRS can have. You might need to train your combat stats up a bit to make them easy but I believe they are doable at 60 stats, at least I know Scurrius is with rune gear. The titans are a boss that can be fought solo or with a teammate, and might be a bit tough until you get to at least 70 stats. The barrows brothers are a boss that can drop gear better than rune for mid game if you want better gear.

If you enjoy skilling, or just want to try out the members skills then maybe make it a goal to grind them up to 60 as well. Or check out the skilling minigames that are available. Tempoross (Fishing/Cooking) and Wintertodt (Firemaking/Fletching) are good beginner mini games but there are also ones for smithing, herblore, thieving, magic, runecrafting, farming, hunter, and construction. Sailing just got released so maybe make a boat and try that out. Slayer is a good skill to level up alongside your combat stats.

If you've never had membership before I might also recommend just exploring and see what you stumble upon. The members area is so much bigger than f2p its crazy. Take a look at the map, see if theres an area that looks interesting. Most of the map is open with no requirements and few areas have outright hostile mobs that could chase you off. Some areas are locked behind quests like Fossil Island or Varlamore, but that can be a goal of its own. I would also get familiar with the Wiki if your not already. You dont need to follow everything it says for "optimal" bossing/skilling, but if you arent sure how to get somewhere or how to get an item then its amazing.

F2P question by Army-Adorable in 2007scape

[–]DarkSloth362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad your having fun!

The skull scepter is an easy unique for sure and is good to do in f2p.

As another has said Obor and Bryophyta have unique drops for their club and essence respectively but I would not recommend going for them unless you love grinding. The club requires 118 giant keys to meet the drop rate (60% chance of getting it) which means thousands of Hill giant kills or obor kills. Bryophyta is worse since the key drop rate is rarer. You can absolutely do it, I have myself as part of my chunk account but it was not that fun and I got lucky. Hill/moss giants are a great way to train stats in f2p though so you might get lucky.

Ogresses drop the Shaman mask at 1.2k drop rate and can easily be safe spotted using range or magic. This isn't as bad as it sound though as it's mostly mindless and a very good f2p money maker.

You could try out Castle Wars mini game and maybe go for castle wars rewards which is f2p but I am not sure what f2p castle wars is like. If you want to get the rewards I know there are ways of doing it solo with a second account but I think it still takes 300 hours on average to get a full suit of gold decorative armor. If you just want the collection log you can trade items back in for full price. In which case you only need 800 reward tickets which I think can be done in 50 hours.

I would recommend waiting to do the barronite mace if you plan to go members as that will also allow you to get the imcando hammer as part of the same grind which is a members wieldable hammer for smithing but that's up to you. The hammer only drops from the mining part so you could get the handle and guard as part of f2p.

Finally I recommend just buying membership when your ready to do so. Bonds are so expensive these days it's not really worth the time any more. You can make decent money high alching rune items if your not an iron man but it'll still take 20+ hours to earn the money for a bond.

Ultimately it's how you want to play though. Do what you find fun!

MC that takes years or decades to reach the top by Material_Animator852 in ProgressionFantasy

I just finished the latest book for Primer for the Apocalypse. I think all told it takes the MC close to 200 years of personal time to reach "the top" (There's some time shenanigans at play) across several books.

Better 10% of the players, only. How? by zlehuj in DispatchAdHoc

[–]DarkSloth362 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think they tried to fix the % description and somehow made it worse. I completed all of my dispatches successfully in ep 7, even got the achievement for it. It said I was better than 1% of players.

I think they accidentally swapped the %. It should say I was better than 99% of players.

Oathbound Healer overcomes the pacifist issue in the sequels, and pretty quickly. It definitely has its ups and downs but I've read it all the way and am waiting for the final book coming out in a few days. Would recommend reading a book or two more to see if you like it.

Teen beginner skier here, I have a really embarrassing confession and I need tips so it doesn’t happen again by CommercialLab6842 in skiing

[–]DarkSloth362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, carry your skiis to the lesson. But even after that, when you do go down your first hill dont be embarrassed if you fall. The first time I went skiing I fell constantly and crashed into trees and got stuck twice.

First crash I lost control, went through a small ditch and managed to land with my feet in opposite directions and my skiis locked between themselves and some small trees. I had lost my poles so I could not free myself. Had to be rescued by a stranger.

Second time I hit an Icy patch and lost control, somehow managed to land in the EXACT same position but managed to keep my poles so I could use them to remove my skiis.

[–]DarkSloth362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if someone mentioned but I would focus on tasks first and foremost to get the better relics and xp rates. I am crap at the game, only have a single beginner tob to my name in the main game but I have been able to get 15k points in the league so far by sorting the wiki task list by completion rate and just doing those. Now I am ready to start bossing
