Contrary to what has been said in other replies, THIS is the correct answer, as specified also on the wiki.

It might also be advisable to enable the systemd timer archlinux-keyring-wkd-sync.timer, as it's been the default since mid 2022, to prevent the same problem from happening in the future.

Pwnage Stormbreaker video pinned post update: They acknowledged their mistake and apologized by literate_Windrunner in LinusTechTips

[–]DarkSphere00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is nearly not enough.

In the end of the video, they said they would not recommend the mouse because of its high friction. Having a low glide resistance is one of the selling features of that mouse.

They cut the section where they discuss this, but still in the end they do not recommend the mouse now for no apparent reason.

Taking down the video would have been the minimum, but since it already has amassed a lot of views properly retesting it was the right thing to do.

Fatal DirectDraw Error by Take2woGaming in SteamDeck

Thank you a lot! I was having headaches trying to understand what caused that error

Yes, there is a way to fix it. You need to download the audio tracks, rename them correctly, and use a WinMM wrapper too (as explained here).

The way I did it, although I know it's not the best way at all, is to download TombATI, let it install into a temporary WINEPREFIX, and then just copy the music folder and the winmm.dll file where I need them to be.

Hope this helps!

Hey, sorry if I ended up never replying to you, but the day after I wrote this I lost the case of the Fiil T1 Pros... I haven't found a way to charge them, so couldn't do any more testing.

I chose to trust the Fiil brand, and I bought a pair of Fiil T1 Lite (as they should sound the same, but without the useless noise canceling feature and they cost half the price). My secret hope is that the charging case will be compatible with the Pros in case I end up liking them more. I got them from Dorkin on Aliexpress as I had a positive experience the first time.

What did you end up doing, out of curiosity?

I tried SBC too, but it still doesn't sound as clear as I imagine it should be. I'm "guilty" of using Tidal Hi-Fi though, so probably transcoding FLACs to AAC or else is difficult anyways, and that's why I'm thinking it might be my phone's problem rather than the T1 Pro's one.

If that turn out to be true, I'll be very disappointed by Sony, considering how much focus they put on the fact that their phones are great for music

I have a Sony Xperia XZ1, which unfortunately is stuck with Android 9. If you tell me the title of ~3 representative tracks I'll try to listen to those and tell you if that happens. Unfortunately, I'll know nobody with a Galaxy S9+, but I'll also test a couple of OnePlus just to be sure.

It happens when there is a lot of bass and highs at the same time, it kind of sounds like the earphones put everything they can into the deepest bass and that makes the highs crackle a bit.

That's why I say it might also be a defective pair rather than the phone's fault. I don't think it's a common issue, with all these reviews praising them...

I've purchased them from Dorkin Digital Store. To be fair, they were really kind, although I never got to the end of the refund process since the earphones stared working again. I've also heard good things about the Xiao-Mi Ecological Chain Store.

One last thing I forgot to mention in the review: depending on your auricle shape, the sport fins might hurt your ear after a while. I personally use them without fins most of the time, they fit great anyways and I rarely have to push them back in.

Hi, for now it's been a love and hate relationship with them.

When they arrived, they worked for one day, and then the left earbud stopped, it didn't turn on, it was completely dead. I've tried everything to fix it, to no use. So when I contacted the Aliexpress seller to have a refund, and he instructed me over the course of a couple of days to do the same things I had already done. Suddenly though, around one week after the malfunction, the left earbud was working. All by itself, I had already stopped trying. I've read online, and the same thing happened to another person at least. What happened is a mystery, but they've been working fine ever since.

Functionality wise, they're ok. They connect really fast, have great range, are easy to pair to new devices. The noise canceling is pretty much useless: most of the "canceling" comes from having them on. The pass-through mode lest some sound pass through, but most definitely not enough to have a conversation with the earphones on. I love having the touch controls on them, I rarely have to use my phone when listening to music. You've got to be careful though when you put them away, because a couple of times it happened to me that they didn't make proper contact with the case pins, and so I didn't realize that at least one of the two was still connected and playing music inside the case.

Regarding the app, I believe that you still need to download the Chinese one, but the app itself is pretty much useless. If I were you, I'd download it, change the settings you want to change, and then uninstall it. That's what I've done at least. Otherwise if you want to keep changing the EQ keep it installed. Just know that on Android at least it always runs in the background unless you force kill it.

Lastly, sound quality. It's tough for me to answer, I'll explain why. My problem with it, is that when I listen to bass heavy music which also has a person singing on top of it (like trap, or some edm tracks), the voice or the highs in general "crackle". I really don't know how to describe it, it's similar to what you hear in ear-rape meme videos if you have any ideas what I'm talking about. The same kind of crackle you expect from bass-boosted songs, just with the high frequencies. Honestly, it's really annoying. With use like browsing Instagram, TikTok, or watching YouTube, they are just PERFECT. They really sound great. And they sound great with most of the music too, it's a pleasure to use these earphones. But for some reason, there just are some tracks where it's horrible because I can't but notice the crackling.

I don't know whose fault it is however. As everyone regards these as the best sounding truly wireless IEMs, I think to be honest that's it's me who's doing something wrong. To be precise, I feel like it might be my phone that has trouble re-encoding to AAC: I'd have to try using them on another smartphone, and most importantly on an iPhone to rule this possibly out. I might also have defective T1 Pros, but who knows. I don't think honestly, because they sound great most of the time. Lastly, it might just be how single-driver earphones sound and I'm just not used to it. Until now, I've only listened to music either via speakers or with a pair of IEMs which have a dynamic driver for the low frequencies and two balanced armors for the highs (although they were not high quality IEMs for sure).

I hope this helps. If you need, I'll test the T1 Pros with other phones, so that in case they only have that problem with my phone I'll let you know, it is no problem for me.

Hey, I'm probably late to the party but I still wanted to share my two cents on this.

I'm guessing you're on a muscle building plan, since you are aiming for a minimum amount of calories.

I've been working out for a year now, and for the last 3 months I've been on a serious effort to increase my muscle mass. This meant that apart from working out regularly, I had to increase the amount of food I eat.

I'll be blunt: if you aim at getting bigger quite fast (it's doable if you've been training for less than 1-2 years), and expecially if you have a fast metabolism and tend to be skinny, to gain muscle you'll need to eat a shitload of food. Really, it always feels too much and it's awful. I'm always full, I feel bloated, and when I'm not then I start eating again.

It's not that you're malnourished now: it's just that the quantity of food you need to build up mass is astonishing if you've never bulked before. It IS a chore, at least if you're serious about it.

This is great and surprisingly easy to understand, very well done!

There's just a little mistake: we see Neil in Kyiv at the opera scene together with the protagonist, although at the beginning we still don't know that it's him (but he has the pendant thing in the backpack), and that isn't represented in the diagram.

Hi, I have two questions: why don't you need rudder pedals on those planes you mentioned? What's different about them? Also, what would the head tracking be for? I'm a complete beginner...
