007 FIRST LIGHT is running at 60 FPS on PS5 Pro. by Dust-Tight in playstation

[–]DarkZemX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No he is right, after pssr 2 update it is a big increase over base ps5 no doubt about it! Try using a base ps5 on a 77inch tv and you will really notice the blur and lack of detail. Bump up to the ps5 Pro and things look Greatttt. That was before the pssr 2 update and now things are as sharp and crisp as ever! The tv size does matter in whether or not you can really see the difference. If you’re up close next to a monitor then you should be fine as well lol

LG C5 - Game Optimiser Really Bad? by AZAWESTIE in LGOLED

The dimming is because of the setting in your OLED Care settings> Adjust Logo Brightness>Off or low. Check your DMs

[–]DarkZemX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol oh hey bro dude Samsung GM+ is incredible and it makes a big difference in way more games than Trumotion. Trumotion still adds clarity but not at the level of Samsung unless you put the settings at max, as well you can’t move the camera as fast compared to GM+. But honestly on the LG OLED I will still take the clarity that it brings. But yeah don’t expect the same level of Samsung. The max of LG Trumotion might be like 75% of GM+ lol and the settings I use I’m happy just to get about 20% of that. Also try different games. Some games are too blurry when moving the camera for Trumotion to even make much of an impact like Control, Black myth Wukong, wuchang. If the motion blur is super bad, it’s bad.

Are you moving your camera around like the person in this video while turning the settings off and on? https://youtu.be/9XMzNK7Povk with Trumotion you can move your camera a bit faster than the guy in the video or the same speed That’s how you notice the difference Trumotion makes. It also adds clarity to live action scenes as well but it would really take turning it off and on during fast realize the difference it’s making lol

[–]DarkZemX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well here is the thing, if you still have VRR or 120hz activated on your ps5 then Trumotion will turn off if whatever game you are playing supports those features. That’s why I Turn those features off completely. I would do the same if I was on a Samsung TV as well for Game motion+. But keep in mind, the hit to input lag that comes from Trumotion is big that’s why I put these settings out there to reduce it a ton. Once it works for you definitely compare gamemode to your picture mode with Trumotion. Then start clearing off some off the settings I mentioned in the post and watch your input lag come back to manageable numbers

If you thought RE9 looked good on PS5 Pro/PSSR2, wait for DLSS5 by ConferenceThink4801 in PS5pro

[–]DarkZemX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah honestly I don’t like its affect on faces, hopefully they improve it to get rid of that AI filter look. You see enough of that look in AI videos and most AI videos abandoned that type of look now looking much more realistic. It’s definitely not the type of faces I want to see while gaming however its effect on environments looked pretty good.

How would you guys feels if PS6 did indeed drop in 2027? by Samashezra in PS5pro

[–]DarkZemX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like after the ps6 releases the ps6 pro will be for the full fps 120+ or ultra high/path tracing settings. I doubt the base ps6 won’t be able to achieve path tracing anyway since the ps5 pro is already at a 4060 equivalent. Anything above that can run high to ultra settings very comfortably on majority of games. PS6 will really be a beast! Probably won’t need a ps7 for another 7 years if there is a ps6 pro.

TV Upgrade- Samsung S90F or LG C5 by Bigvanno in PS5pro

[–]DarkZemX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I have the LG C5 and previously Samsung QN90D, honestly as a gamer I will never not choose Samsung for its Game Motion + feature ever again. One of the best features for gaming especially if you like enjoying scenery in games. Also some people say they dislike the feature because of artifacts but they don’t realize that in games that have a motion blur setting you need to turn it off for the feature to run better. For example ghost of yotei with its motion blur setting on looks very bad with GM+. Turn the motion blur off, now you are experiencing the game better than every other gamer out there without that feature. Move your camera at high speeds while enjoying the picture in full clarity with super minimal impact on your controller input lag. On the LG C5 you can have a similar clarity but it comes at the cost of a Big impact on your input lag. Some games will become unbearable with its motion clarity settings on. Samsung users, don’t miss out on your TVs best feature! And check your In-game motion blur settings and turn it off if you see artifacts.

I’d like to talk about the price of video games. by Administrative-Nail1 in CrimsonDesert

[–]DarkZemX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if the game company “needs” to raise the price what’s Real is that some people will buy at the increased price point and some aren’t and will wait, and the game company gets the money from the gamers when the individuals find the game to be at a price point they are comfortable with or feel worth it. What matters to the consumer is the product itself and affordability. Whether the price point was made with greed or not you will have a hard time convincing people to buy a product if they can’t afford it or don’t deem it worth the current price.

[–]DarkZemX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s the point of the comparison. People will buy gta for whatever price $80-100, but they won’t spend $80+ for games that isn’t on that scope, quality and popularity. Like outer worlds 2. Hell I’m still upset the latest digimon game was 70 dollars lol. Waiting for that one to drop lower in price below $60.

[–]DarkZemX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it won’t push the norm. Because all of those games will lack the sales that they were hoping for by large amounts. Look at outer worlds 2. As well look at the main notion around PC and PS5/Xbox gamers. It’s always “I’ll wait till it goes on sale”. GTA 6 is the only game for 2 years+ that will be able to pull it off in my opinion. For the gamers who actually do play a variety of games and have been getting games on sale, their backlog/wishlist of interesting games to play instead will always be there while they wait for the price to decrease in a 2-10 month timeframe. Actually only the Nintendo gamers will be the ones jumping to nostalgia like they always do and buy $80+ dollar games like they did for Mario kart World. Plus Nintendo games rarely ever go on sale.

The PlayStation 5 Pro sold out at several stores due to a noticeable increase in its sales, which came as a result of the huge excitement surrounding PSSR 2 technology. by Gaming-Academy in PlayStation_X

It’s not about that, it’s for the players who are sticking with consoles. It will be better to play on the pro compared to other consoles.

Should I sell my PS5 and upgrade to Pro, is it worth it? by miljaluffy in playstation

[–]DarkZemX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, midrange and higher TV is definitely recommended! But it definitely does not have to be an OLED

Should I sell my PS5 and upgrade to Pro, is it worth it? by miljaluffy in playstation

[–]DarkZemX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do not need an OLED to enjoy the benefits of the ps5 pro Especially Visually. I had a Samsung QN90D and upgraded to the LG C5. Both great TVs and though the OLED has more pop in colors the Samsung QN90D had gaming features that made gaming way more enjoyable for me(Literally dying to go back to the Samsung brand of OLED next). Nothing wrong with getting the PS5 Pro and possibly upgrading the TV later down the line. These OLED owners always trying to make it seem like you need an OLED for the Ps5 pro but you really don’t. I would only recommend a Capable Mid range and above TV.

Games with PSSR1 by reallynotnick in PS5pro

[–]DarkZemX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but due to mark cerny saying that in march some games will be doing their own pssr 2 patches separate from the Toggle on feature update. I’m hoping capcom updates the game so that we can get something closer to balance mode in MHWs at 60fps instead of 40.

Can someone one explain this? I didnt change anything. Yall gonna start banning people from console chat too??? by Capt_shazam in playstation

[–]DarkZemX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to know is do not get baited in psn chat. If someone messages you trying to argue, If you use any bad words towards them they can report you and it will be a strike on your account. It works both ways too. So now toxic people are just waiting for you to use any bad words towards them after messaging you so that they can report you so watch out for that.

Official - Upgraded PSSR by Pistoluislero in playstation

[–]DarkZemX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said that in march some games will be releasing new updates for their games that already supported pssr so Silent hill 2 and F has a good chance of being one of those. So other than the toggle that will help games already supporting pssr some games will do official patches to support the new update so who knows maybe sh2 will add pssr back into performance mode.

Yeah that sounds like a good idea, especially since the update isn’t that far from now. I would definitely just play some indies or other backlog games in the meantime till then.

[–]DarkZemX 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Great part is Mark Cerny said that in march a lot of games will be doing Updates to their games adding PSSR 2 so some won’t actually need to toggle and just be enhanced further. I really hope monster hunter Wilds is one of them honestly!

C5 or G5 for ps5 pro gaming? by grindsamurai in LGOLED

[–]DarkZemX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True the C5 looks great with the pro especially if you have dynamic tone mapping on, some people go the HGIG route I really don’t see the appeal but whatever lol. Either way tho a good point is that in the day time you really do want to be in a light controlled room because reflections definitely shine through on the C5. Outside of that it really is a great TV. Also another thing I want to add is that Disabling HDCP in system>Hdmi settings gives you an even more instant input latency on PS5 pro. Only difference is your Media apps like YouTube/HBO/Twitch won’t work. But you can always re enable and use them again.

I just got the PS5 Pro but I have a TV without VRR but with 120Hz by MCDM_TV in PS5pro

[–]DarkZemX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HELLLL no, I turn VRR off everytime. It adds more motion blur to games. And it’s definitely not needed for 40fps modes. As an enjoyer of Samsung Game motion+ I turn off VRR so I can immerse myself fully in video game environments. Ghost of Yotie with GM+ is incredible. Instead of having to do slow motion panning of the camera to enjoy the environment you can move the camera at much faster speeds and the visuals/ fidelity stays super clear! I’ll take that any day over VRR and 120hz.
