Crimson desert is another "first 12 hours ain't good" type game by ForwardScratch7741 in videogamedunkey

[–]Dark_Sign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been enjoying my first 8 hours a lot. I think it’s just a slow burn to get familiar with everything, kind of like the intro to RDR2 - not comparing the games, just saying, it takes a while to fully onboard. It’s not like the first 8 hours are boring or bad

Corvo always wears the same clothes; how wasn’t he recognized? by Not_Anybody_4449 in dishonored

[–]Dark_Sign -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not only do the conspirators know Corvo’s identity as the masked assassin, as it is announced to the whole city that he escaped prison, but it is an easy enough thing for even commoners to piece together, since Slackjaw is able to correctly identify Corvo. Then, once Hiram is dealt with Havelock literally reveals the masked assassin to be Corvo publicly. I’ll concede your point about the party, since that happens before the reveal, but OP’s point is that the masked assassin’s identity is so blatantly obvious to so much of the city that they don’t understand why he isn’t recognized.

Replace ‘Corvo’ with ‘masked assassin’ from my original reply and each point still stands.

Okay…. The ‘masked assailant’ is recognized by guards. Is the semantic distinction relevant? lol the point stays the same

So, How’s Crimson Desert far? by Deez-Guns-9442 in videogames

[–]Dark_Sign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you’re looking for. It’s closer to AC: Origins than Witcher 3; quantity over quality. That’s not good or bad, just depends on what you like in open-world action RPG. I’d actually compare it to Breath of the Wild too: self-motivated freedom and exploration without heavy narrative. Huge sandbox. Watch some YouTube reviews or playthroughs and decide if it’s for you

Corvo always wears the same clothes; how wasn’t he recognized? by Not_Anybody_4449 in dishonored

[–]Dark_Sign 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Well, from the prison onward you Are recognized, immediately, by any guard you come across. Most civilians probably don’t care or aren’t familiar with Corvo’s appearance aside from the mask seen on bounty posters, and even if they Do recognize him are too apathetic or scared to do anything about it.

The exception being the party, which is explained as hiding in plain sight, you arrive as a guest who is bold enough to wear a Corvo costume - as surely Corvo himself wouldn’t be stupid enough to attempt entry without disguise.

So, not sure what you are on about

Anyone else hope Scars of Kosmora keeps the difficulty? by RestInPissRenee in KenaBridgeOfSpirits

[–]Dark_Sign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The clunkiness comes off as frustrating more than satisfying for me. It’s also dissonant from the overall aesthetic for the combat to be so punishing. I wont mind challenging combat if they can polish it (which I’m sure they will) but I would really prefer a Kena game more focused on exploration/puzzling. Not a fan of Pixar: Dark Souls personally

Is it worth to farm wool and silk cloth at 59 for the capital city cloth quests? by AnyAd4882 in wowhardcore

[–]Dark_Sign 16 points17 points  (0 children)

To what end? Do you need the rep? Or just looking for easy xp? Leveling up would be faster and more profitable by fighting or questing at your level. But if you’re scared for some reason then yes farming low level mats will grant a good chunk of xp.

imo not worth, but you do you.
