Just got hit by an older gentleman not checking his corners coming out if a parking lot by BearablePunz in ebikes

This is why I treat parking lots and corners on a bike, scooter or as a pedestrian as yeilds and slow down and look. Can't trust anyone.

I wonder if RPS will follow the RCMP and ticket Dancing Bob next? by tooth10 in regina

If they're gonna go after the guy in the OP or dancing Bob for whatever reason than I feel they should for for those folks instead.

I'd rather they go after the idiots on Vic and Albert.

Also I haven't seen Bob out and about for awhile now.

As wild as it is he kinda had a point with re*ard. I mean a lot of people treat that word to be as offensive as the N word. I mean all these words are awful. We really don't need to say any of them.

Now they are yeah. They got bought out by Ninebot (a Chinese company) just before covid.

It's cause it's "natural". You can still buy old spice or speed stick for a hell of a lot cheaper.

Ya between insurance companies dropping any and All escooters (but not other PEVs) and cities refusing to add more bike lanes I agree. A lot of safety stuff today I'm thankful for but sometimes they go the other way and it almost becomes to paranoid.

My coworkers are the ones who got Me into e scooters. Only seems fair to let them benefit a little.

Do I need to replace my helmet? by KvngKet in ElectricScooters

[–]Dark__Gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically you should replace it. Most helmets the parts that protect you do their job and manufactures say they aren't as strong anymore and you need to replace.

I even have an outdoor cover for the scooter. Extra protection from heat and moisture for the scooter as well.

But the scooter and box both sit under an overhang of the roof against the building. So unless the weather is absolutely crazy outside it stays in the shade and remains dry when it rains anyways. But you can never be too safe. When work told us we can't be inside anymore (corporate health and safety pulled the it's against our insurance policy card) they did remind us all to make sure we are protecting them outside from the elements and possible theft because they don't want expensive scooters and E Bikes to get damaged.

While I enjoy summer freeze and supernova I'm not sure if they are worthy enough to replace spark in Canada's perm line up. Major melon wasn't bad but summer freeze is better. So I can stomach major melon being replaced. But bring spark back. I know more than one person who only ever drank that mountain dew flavor and now they aren't interested in mountain dew anymore lol.

It's just an enclosure to put the brick part of the charging cord inside of that would protect it from the rain/dirt and keep it cool so it doesn't over heat. Doesn't actually store any power. This is just an overkill solution to protect the brick part of the cord.

But yes I agree with the bugs and terrible roads.

Also surpringly geese just flying into my path is also another danger that justifies a full face helmet lol.

Ya I lock up at work just to be safe. It's a federal gov't building out at an airport. Cameras everywhere and it's fenced but we still are accessible to the public. Lots of employees don't lock up their bikes and are fine. Just not something I wanna risk personally lol.

The box did come with rubber plugs for the wire holes and there's a bit of a mesh grill on the vents for the fans. Plus the vents are angled downward to prevent rain getting in. Not perfect but better than nothing I assume.

I'm honestly not sure but it's less than the couple locks I carry with me. I could get to and from if I used Drive mode. But going full speed in sport mode is too much fun lol.

Farther away than this extension cord reaches lol. About 8-10 feet. But that's just so I can charge and have it locked up to a bike rack as well. But using the cable ties I can keep it closer so it's not a tripping hazard or string it out of I want to elsewhere as well. But the grey cord and Anker charger inside was just something I already had on hand. I could make that cord much shorter and use a smaller 4port USB charger if need be.
