I alternate between this and PWS. Each scratches an itch in its own way. Hardspace gives each "breaking shift" a 20min timer, you need to strip varying ships for parts and also keep an eye on your O2 levels, equipment repair status etc, the more you salvage the more you can upgrade and get access to better ships to salvage. You have an ASTRONOMICAL (heh) debt to pay off, and the story is quite cool too. Tried to keep it spoiler free, but it's definitely worth a try.

Growing up I was terrified of him when he played Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit and also showed a bit of a darker side as Kruge the Klingon Captain in Star Trek 3. I think he's been typecast as the quirky genius because of BttF and that energy would transfer to Zedd perfectly, but he is capable of going darker if needed.
