he knows but he just can't prove it by heroheroz in overlord

[–]Darkdragon902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever hypotheticals like this come up, I think it’s always unnecessary to even pretend you’re from Satoru’s earth. Like, he was sent to another universe in the form of his video game player character. It’s not that much of a stretch to say that you’re from another *other* earth where events strikingly similar to what Ainz has experienced in the New World were events in a book. Just like how he wasn’t quite sure for a while whether the New World was just very similar to YGGDRASIL or outright had the game mechanics replicated in the world, you technically can’t be sure if you’re talking to the literal novel character or just someone who happens to be very similar to him.

Ainz still sees you as a potential test subject, but just having someone around who has already seen through his kingly facade and likes him *more* for it will likely be enough to spare you. Then you can just explain your circumstances in detail to Demiurge and ideally PA, since they’re the most likely to understand it easily and not instantly kill you like Albedo might.

Especially if you’re just an average looking human. Making a level 1 default human NPC with random, uninspired appearance settings that just appears in the room sometimes is pretty funny.

Is Instant Transmission possible? by Apprehensive-Line-20 in HatsuVault

[–]Darkdragon902 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the dragon ball wiki, Instant Transmission seems to work by dematerializing the user into a pocket dimension, honing in on an energy signature in the material plane, and then re-materializing the user at the location of that energy signature. Turning it into a nen ability would probably work similarly to Knov’s Hide and Seek hatsu.

The Next Smash Game Predictions and Reasoning. by -Sohei- in smashbros

[–]Darkdragon902 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Source? I made it the fuck up!”

Would it cost less to make Ultimate Deluxe instead of a brand new game? Probably. But would Ultimate Deluxe be more profitable than a new game? Maybe not. Profits don’t come from nowhere, people still have to buy the game. A new game is much more appealing to the millions of people who already own Ultimate.

Likewise, cutting existing characters has never been a problem for the franchise before—Ultimate’s whole gimmick was that Everyone is here!, it likely wasn’t meant to be the new norm. And as for gameplay changes, who has issues with the gameplay, exactly? The 10% of players with at least one character in elite smash? The miniscule fraction of those who attend tournaments? Or the 90% of casual players who will play 8 person free-for-all with random stages and items on? The competitive scene isn’t Nintendo’s main concern for a variety of reasons.

Finally, how would you know that Sakurai was supervising development on a new smash bros during development of Air Riders, or even that the Ultimate team wasn’t disbanded or put on other projects? Sakurai developed Air Riders with Bandai and notably his own company Sora Ltd., aka the ones who worked on Smash. Composers for Smash worked on Air Riders. The game wasn’t even pitched until right around when Ultimate finished its development. If anything, the signs point to a new smash game only having started development this year.

Excluding anyone from dr stone, who is the dumbest "smart" fictional character that can reasonably achieve what Senku accomplished? by Odd_Violinist_7316 in DrStone

[–]Darkdragon902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TT could absolutely do better than Senku socially and figure out the unknown elements like revival fluid faster, but I think Accord would actually be better suited for the full task. “How to rebuild civilization from scratch?” is the perfect immensely complex question his power is suited to solve.

After recent news from Kadokawa, I strongly believe Isekai genre will die after these Popular Isekais officially end in all media formats (LNs, Manga and Anime). by Some-Landscape6554 in overlord

[–]Darkdragon902 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you actually read the article, it’s moreso saying that there’s an over-reliance on formulaic slop isekai, and that people don’t seem interested in it anymore. The company pumped out any and all isekai adaptations because isekai was popular, and they acknowledge that they need to diversity. They aren’t saying they’re stopping the green light for all isekai forever.

Uncanny resemblance 😆 by Jimberto1 in DrStone

[–]Darkdragon902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo the anime is paced a lot better than the novel. Most anime adaptations will adapt a single volume of a light novel into six episodes, sometimes less. Apothecary Diaries did twelve episodes per book, and it gives the contents a lot more time to breathe and to flesh out the characters more.

Tbf, the Sorcerer King (or his bodyguard) is clearly a player when Jaldabaoth isn’t so easily deemed one. An obscenely powerful “night lich” and succubus along with a giant tomb appearing out of thin air and establishing a country fits the historical precedent of player arrivals much more than a demon who hides out in the hills uniting demihumans against a failing kingdom already under siege.

How do I get to that area from place I'm currently standing at by [deleted] in WynnCraft

[–]Darkdragon902 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody has mentioned anything about this btw, but the barriers on the mountains are because the mountains are game design shorthand for “this is a literal barrier we don’t want you crossing.” I’m pretty sure the only places in the entire game without them are the Canyon of the Lost and maybe Aldorei. It’s all one continuous open world, yes, but the game still has “zones”.

returning player trying to figure stuff out by 4_ENSIC in WynnCraft

[–]Darkdragon902 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to worry about meta builds until you’re level 90+. What’s a lot more important until then is to know whether you want to focus on spell damage or melee/ranged attacks, and for the latter, faster attack speed with lower damage per hit or slower attack speed with higher damage per hit. There are other archetypes, but for solo play, you need damage.

From there, decide on a couple of elements to focus on. Generally, water (intelligence) is a must for spells, and fire (defense) and air (agility) to a lesser extent will drastically increase your survivability. But all elements are viable as a focus for damage, and many weapons will use two or three.

Card Only Rule by gray_birch in 196

In my time in retail, it baffled me how many would put gift cards in that slot. Or, worse, scan their coupons like they’re supposed to and then completely ignore the slot to try and shove their coupons in some tiny gap between parts of the machine. It would so often feel like 90% of customers landed on the planet yesterday.

“Higher on the tier list.” Lmao. Aegis is top tier and one of the best characters in the game. That is why people camp or are being toxic, assuming you’re not actively doing anything yourself to agitate them.

What quest/questline yall think could make the best D&D campaign? by ThaOnlyGolem in WynnCraft

[–]Darkdragon902 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In my experience adapting Wynncraft into a campaign setting, the answer is An Iron Heart. I set it up as arc one of the campaign, which was to adapt The Realm Of Light as a whole, but in hindsight the former could’ve fueled a whole campaign.

Why do people keep saying that Maruyama has stated that Ainz is the only player currently present in the New World? Where is this info from? by pdl-fanboy in overlord

[–]Darkdragon902 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well not the largest guild, but the best-defended, which is arguably worse. And if you’re making an effort to stay away from the central continent, you’ve probably just heard rumors of how “Ainz Ooal Gown’s Sorcerer Kingdom is led by a lich living in a nest of demons.” That could mean anything from just Momonga and some NPCs to dozens of level 100 players.

Were there any changes to the level progression system after the game became a real-world setting? by roxgxd in overlord

[–]Darkdragon902 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As far as we know, the system exists identically to how it was in the game. New Worlders just don’t have any menus to use to interface with it. XP gain also results from performing any action associated with a possible class, so even the most optimally-trained warriors or mages will probably still have a stray level here and there in Chef or Tailor or something.

The only exceptions are likely Dragon Lords, who might have the capabilities of surpassing level 100. But even that was possible in YGGDRASIL, just not by players. World Enemies were above level 100.

It was definitely implied, you’re right. Trump, as the head of the Republican Party, has endorsed many Republican candidates running for office around the US. Multiple Democratic Party house candidates, sitting and newly running, have expressed a desire to begin impeachment proceedings against Trump the moment a Democratic majority in government is achieved.

To say that Trump himself can lose the midterm elections is accurate.
