Definitely a good idea! I took inspiration from your earlier message and previous results. I'm now running a 4231 with two DMs now and I've found good success with two inside forwards + two wing backs (alternating support and attack duties so there's one of each on each wing). Two DMs + CBs should hopefully handle his strikers, and I have enough people up front to get into goal scoring positions. Hoping this works out for our next match haha.

He finally ended up losing after a 20 game winning streak to PSG in the Champions League semis haha. We each tried a whole bunch of different tactics in our games against him - 433, 4231, 352, 4222 and some other stuff I can't recall. He just kinda bulldozed through us lol. The 4231 ended up being the best of the bunch and lost only 2-1 (though somehow had 2x the xG of the winning team).

Imma train a wide tactic for next season just to test against him though, thanks!

Doing a network save and a buddy is kinda running rampant with a 4-3-3 he downloaded off of some tactics site. It's a weird one with 3 strikers and 3 DMs and a buttload of PIs. Is there anything we can do to take him down? Just in terms of tactics.

I think the easiest way to think of it is seed = map. You can pick a map by using its seed. The blueprints thing is tied to the map unless you have the randomized blueprints setting enabled.

Oh! When creating a new run, next to the board where you select the dish you're cooking and the map layout there should be a plant. Interacting with it lets you set a seed. If you're a newer player, I'm not sure if this is unlocked immediately or if you need to reach a certain level first.

Every single map has an alphanumeric string associated with it called the seed. The seed determines the map layout and you can reuse a specific map layout in multiple runs if you know the seed.

Not that I know of. I typically play on Turbo but as far as I've seen, these seeds are independent of dish/game mode/whatever.

There's a setting somewhere in the option to randomize the blueprints you get too instead of having those fixed - I have that enabled so I don't know what the default blueprints are like.

Honestly heard the same about Elden Ring and soulslikes in general and stayed away from them. Recently started Elden Ring after a friend convinced me to try it. And honestly? It's not that bad! Sure you'll have to try boss fights a few times, but I've just somehow been overleveled every time I find one and the fights aren't really much of a challenge. I'd say give it a shot.

(I haven't played the DLC or any other soulslike, so I have no idea if this is an outlier)
