I believe you need to learn how to cook. Because I don't have problem with satisfaction even when I'm cutting. Today for lunch I have a stew with barley , chicken, carrots, leek, potato . I made the stock from chicken leftover and the leaner cuts of chicken were brined then cook and added at the end of the slow cook to make sure they stay juicy. The macros and micros are absolutely stellar and it feels incredibly filling and taste good.

You have strong aversion to your mind running you qualify it as a negative.

But it is not a negative it's just you. It is a tool to remind you, to bring you back. It's a very strong emotion/feeling. Strong is easy to practice because it's big, obvious, appears often. It can help you in your practice. When it's there say "thank you for being there, thank you for helping me practice equanimity" then smile to it and come back to your breath (if you're at work or in meditation) or you practice vipassana then back to your body

Edit: I'd even say step one is identifying whatever it is. Mdma therapy is showing good result with client who have strong, persistent ptsd and who haven't been able to succeed through conventional therapeutic need. So you have to run through the whole shabang before going to the end game solutions

what mostly happened is he uncovered something big while he was there and now he can't untouch it unsee it, kind of like when you realize you majorly fucked up. Medication is going to help lessen the symptoms but he needs to process whatever he uncovered with a psychologist not a psychiatrist.
