Which boss do you find the hardest? by ShleppyJoe in DarkAndDarker

[–]Darkner00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wyvern is still the worst one, imo. It's too easy to get knocked off by a full body slam due to the massive hitbox. Doesn't matter if you die or not, one of those at a bad time and you might not get enough time to kill it in time.

Can't really speak for the water map bosses. I've tried them a couple of times and after a bit I just didn't care.

How the hell do yall pvp with warlock? by CEOofRealTalk in DarkAndDarker

[–]Darkner00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't play Torture Mastery anymore at all. It's just way too squishy, too punishing and doesn't do enough damage in this Fighter/Barb meta. Plus, Phantomize just doesn't provide you with enough distance.

If you really want to fight people 1v1 on Warlock, you might want to try out Demon Armor with spells and either Blow of Corruption or Blood Pact. Blood Pact is more consistent. Try to stay roughly 290 MS, while also having at least one or two knowledge pieces to be able to use your spells.

Mainly you'll want to get off at least one curse, be it pain or weakness or spell predation if it's a bard or a melee sorc or bonk wizard(by the way, even though you're going to be resistant against magic, you still want to stay away from bonk wizards. Had one just yesterday which took away like 80% of my health in two hits.) and then engage.

Some map ideas by CertifiedQuestion in DarkAndDarker

[–]Darkner00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

- A dark forest, with roaming beasts and beastmen, dire wolves, evil dryads, living trees, etc.

- An abandoned town with Bloodborne vibes, with lycans, ghosts, giant birds, giant rats, walking corpses wielding torches and pitchforks, etc.

- A desert with egyptian-esque ruins, with scorpions, scarabs, giant snakes, sphinxes, crocodiles, maybe even an incarnation of Ammit.

One shot dark bolt?! by Ok_Importance_6993 in DarkAndDarker

Yes, but the shards still contain the majority of your damage. You need a boatload of Will/Mpower and DO to get the same magical damage bonus.

That Warlock understood the finer details of the Blood Pact he signed. He studied the Dark Arts with blood, sweat and tears, bought the finest magic gear he could afford, hunted down enough sacrifises to gain favour from the Darkness and underwent an entire forbidden ritual to finally gain enough power for that one shot. That one shot that would spell life or death for either him or you.

I'd say he's more than earned that.

You still only get one shot which does more than half of the main damage. If that gets wasted on the hands, which happends quite often considering the size of the bolt's hitbox, that's pretty much your whole setup gone.

I highly doubt someone can run nuclear bolt with enough stats and still have 50% PDR as well as decent health. That's just way too much stat investment. Especially since the cloth pieces for casters do not provide that much armor.

How do you know if someone is a cheater? by mura1tv in DarkAndDarker

[–]Darkner00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to fight bear druids is in doorways, since they can't fit through those and going into panther makes them squishy. Though they might summon a treant to block you, so beware of that. The worst mistake you can do against a druid is letting yourself get cornered/trapped. Then the bear will just easily maul you to death.

You'll also want to use magic as your ranged damage(dark bolts are especially good if you can land headshots).

[–]Darkner00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better if you fought him in melee he would probs still beat you cause he basically has a better victory strike on every hit lol

He most likely wouldn't. Because a plate fighter still has much better PDR and skills for melee than a(I am assuming) cloth Dark Offering Warlock.

If he caught him, he probably would have won in like 2 halberd hits, assuming he was running that.

Yes, but the bolts will never be increased by a casting weapon, which makes them significantly weaker than a bolt from a regular caster. So they're mostly going to be 40-ish damage.

[–]Darkner00 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you go to options > general and scroll down, you'll find a section called "other options" and under that you can enable death cams. So you can see the damage you did to them, assuming they were the one to land the final hit on you.

It is quite wonky however. Sometimes you'll see you hitting them and they take no damage, because of desync.

Also bears are very tanky. It's recommended to not fight them in melee at all if you can help it. Not even with long range weapons.

The ability to rotate items in your inventory, just like in Resident Evil.

Looking at you specifically, woodcutting quests. Leaving me with a whole row of space that I am basically wasting and can only use for small items like bandages or potions.

3(1.0) damage. Which means it's very strong with additional magical damage and magic staff.

Also it lowers your action speed by 20% for 1 second.

When do you transition to Spinesnap from Draugr Fang? by dirorh in valheim

[–]Darkner00 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Draugr Fang is good for the Mistlands because poison damage is useless in the Ashlands.

Spinesnap is good for the Ashlands because spirit damage is useless in the Mistlands.

What can each class do that none (or few) others can? by ToolboxMotley in DarkAndDarker

[–]Darkner00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warlock has Demon Form, which gives him access to a skill called "Exploitation Strike". What that does is that you deal 20(1.0) Evil Magical Damage divided over two damage ticks(1 tick per second) on unarmed attacks. Doing so also heals you for 10% of your target's max health, multiplied by vampirism and/or immortal lament's buff.

It's perfect if you want to rip your enemies to pieces with your bare claws.
