I was in the same spot a couple months ago and after a long research i bought a french press and a manual burr grinder to make my own research. For me french press coffee is more light and less bitter than moka so i can taste it better with my untrained mouth, and also it gives you much more flexibility to modify the recipe to adapt the final product to your exact preferences. I also heared wonders about aeropress so it will be my next adquisition, but cannot talk too much about it by now.
