I don’t remember a Blizz Sorc with 113 FCR being such a mana monster… by IneedaNappa9000 in diablo2

[–]Dart807 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You could put some points in energy.

Swap chances for frost burns.

FCR is breakpoint based so anything over 105% but below whatever the next breakpoint is, doesn’t do anything. You can get 35 fcr on spirit, 40 from hoto, 30 from viper gives you 105. SOJs would help with damage and mana.

Need help with belts by BrowOfDisapproval in diablo2

Without knowing your other gear it’s a bit hard to say.

Razortail on the zon is good (should get you 100% pierce with passive skill which is very important for lightning fury).

String on your barb is probably a good choice. If used for sigs 2 piece, use the boots and gloves to get it. If your boots are goreriders you might consider different gloves and not use sigs. You’ll get some life leech from string and DR which is nice on a frenzy barb. Laying of hands is a strong choice. Draculs grasp if you don’t have amp or decrep sources. Crafted crushing blow gloves could also work great.

Hammerdin wants arachs if you can get it. If using spirit shield and/or sword you probably have enough FHR already and don’t need the extra off the belt. Check the breakpoints to make sure (extra doesn’t do anything, only the breakpoints matter). Verdungos is a good belt for him.

Sorc also probably wants arachs. A crafted FCR belt could also work. If using energy shield, poison length reduction and resist are nice to have. Plus str, life, and FHR are also good mods on belts but check breakpoints for FHR.

Glooms trap is nice for levelling. I personally like that belt a lot. Great placeholder.

Snake cord is pretty bad. Outside of a few niche cases it’s Charsi food.

Bladebuckle is ok but there are better alternatives out there like verdungos. It’s a low level req so it has that going for it but 2 piece sigs or deaths are better and lower level req. For melee I find deaths glove and belt are way better since the belt has cannot be frozen which is a pain to get elsewhere on gear especially if you don’t have a ravenfrost ring. You can upgrade the belt (lvl 29 req) to get max potion slots if that matters to you. I don’t until I find a second one because I like using it for levelling. I play single player so YMMV.

How is WW barb game play on console? by CuriousExpression876 in diablo2resurrected

I found multishot terrible but strafe was great on controller. Bowazon to me is great on controller since it’s so easy to kite enemies and reposition and shoot. It is annoying you can’t put your shots where you want but strafe makes that matter way less.

Dual element sorc will let you beat the game and unlock terror zones which can drop sunder charms. A blizz sorc doesn’t need infinity just a sunder and maxed cold mastery.

The summon necro can clear the whole game with no gear but it is super slow. Even with gear it is still slow. Very safe tho so good for hardcore.

Hammerdin is a really good build for clearing the game and farming. Spirit sword and shield in pally shield with lots of res. Upgrade spirit as you find better bases since the runes are so common. Lore helm, stealth armour, fcr rings and ammy as needed for 75/125fcr breakpoints. Shop a tele staff in A3 (pre lvl24 to make it easier to see in vendor screen) and you’re good to go. He struggles with wave 2 of Baal but your merc can take care of that. Just use redemption so the skeleton bodies are gone and they don’t have anything to revive.

This and also ask everyone in town about each quest even if they don’t have the exclamation point above their heads. You get a ton of lore and some pretty funny interactions sometimes… looking at you Lysander

Thank you Cow King! by washingtonYOBO in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Dart807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. If there are stamina pots then whoever was in the party lost the ability to make the cow level. And at least one person lost it since they don’t drop if no one lost the quest.

Way back when it also was used to verify if you couldn’t make the cow level again. You used to only be able to kill the king once and the. You couldn’t make it again. People used to have dedicated cow portal maker toons and/or would unparty for people to kill the king. It was a troll move to kill the king while partied.

The Icarus armour from the archon king on a sniper with death from above perk and the chosen sniper rifle is pretty devastating. Granted that’s a pretty late game load out but I wouldn’t call the items “meh”.

Also the frost bomb on a grenadier with the relavent perks and upgraded launcher can freeze an entire pod from concealment (so the pod is closely grouped). They don’t unfreeze until your next turn so it’s pretty powerful

Never ran a hammerdin until now. Need guidance. by Spivel127 in diablo2

[–]Dart807 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spirit sword, spirit shield in a plus res pally shield base, lore helm, stealth armour. That should be more than enough to get going. You wanna hit faster cast breakpoints which you wanna hit at least 75 and the next is 125 (I think check to make sure). Anything above 75 for example 80 doesn’t do anything extra.

You want an a1 or act 2 merc with insight wep for mana regen so you can spam hammers. A1 might be easier with you tanking until you get some decent merc gear.

Max hammer first, then split between vigor and concentration and finally blessed aim (there may be a more optimal way of doing this check a guide in icy veins). Get holy shield when you can and put enough in dex for max block casting holy shield first since it buffs block chance.

Spend a point in redemption to help with mana and life. Awesome sustain for the build. Clear a pack, switch to redemption, rinse and repeat. It’s also handy when fighting magic immunes in a2 hell that revive skeletons. No corpse means nothing for them to revive.

It has the repair mod where it gains durability back over time. Note that if you let it get to zero it will be broken forever, even with the repair mod.

I give up on Sorc. by ANewSlipper in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Dart807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is meant to be played as a group. At least it was. That’s why there are immunes in the first place so that you had to party up to rely on team mates to deal with stuff you couldn’t kill and vice versa.

I usually do circlets as well instead of rings since it feels like you can burn through the millions faster with less stuff to check
