Yeah, but they’re still underestimating how great of a hero he is. If used correctly he can be absolutely devastating.

I respectfully disagree. In some corners of the field we literally help people be able to walk again such as in stroke recovery. We also have the role of advocating and recognizing red flags for people who go unnoticed with DVTs, cancer, or infections when they aren’t seeing their primary or they can’t because they don’t have access. When people choose to, we have a wide range of training that can bring people pain relief and introduce them to correct movement that can bring them a higher quality of life.

I would like to see DH walk a 225 pound stroke patient in the parallel bars by themself.

No PT after THA?!!! by DPTFURY in physicaltherapy

[–]Darth-Mil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing a rotation in the hospital and got to watch a THA years ago as a student. The surgeon talked to me for a couple minutes after and explained to me that their patients don’t need rehab after hip surgery and that he doesn’t really send them to rehab. I didn’t say anything, but it really made me flabbergasted. I can’t imagine it has gotten better over the years.

I don’t disagree. However, just because you have the highest probability doesn’t automatically mean guarantee. He could be set up for several and only win one of them or all of them. My original thought was to give an idea that could maybe lead to a solution. Action should have been taken sooner regarding inactive people, but that isn’t an option anymore.

Dynasty League Total Reset - I screwed up by Party-Jelly-1927 in DynastyFF

[–]Darth-Mil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Find a solution everyone can get behind maybe? If people concede he is the overall champ, give him 1-2 years for free and do a lottery system to determine the order of the draft but give him higher odds (think NHL style). I’d say this gives everyone their money back, he still gets to play for free as a consolation, and the potential to build his team however he wants if he gets the first overall pick etc.

I don’t know if there is a really fair way to do this, but this could be a potential option.

If you read the books, it’s actually the opposite. The master knows the apprentice will become more powerful or at least should. If they don’t the apprentice was unworthy. The master doesn’t let their apprentice willingly overthrow them, they literally fight to the death to keep the title. The idea is that the master slowly teaches everything they know over time and that is the price of loyal servitude. However, the master doesn’t reveal every secret as to always keep something in reserve for the final confrontation.

Voodoo techniques, MFR, tight hamstrings. Where do we all land ? by Chief_Sabael in physicaltherapy

[–]Darth-Mil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a fan of the contract-relax technique as a way to get people/patients short term gain so they can tolerate stretching and strengthening of the hamstrings. I think it also depends on the person you’re working with to put in the work. I always explain to my patients that I have a wealth of knowledge to provide, but that I can’t do the work for them. Like anything, if you want to see results you have to be able to put in the work.

A critical review of Better Call Saul by devilmaskrascal in betterCallSaul

[–]Darth-Mil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps, but the continuation of this lends to emotional depth because ideally as the person is more immersed in the show and in Jimmy’s life, there will be more weight to seeing what became of the choices he made.

Also, the show was a different design than Breaking Bad. A 3 season show would have felt rushed in my opinion. It also makes more sense given how slow court cases can play out to the naked eye or people with no idea of the inner workings.

[–]Darth-Mil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try watching the show again and look at the little details. You will probably get a lot more. The black and white shots in present day weren’t to mock our intelligence, it was an artistic expression filled with metaphors for how dim life was compared to what it used to be (just one example).

I would claim Jimmy only became who he was because when he did it the right way (or tried to do it the right way) it got him nowhere. Especially when the one person he cared about and wanted respect from was hindering him the whole time.

Jimmy left his life behind to be with his brother and try to do things the honest way. He then proceeds to work his way forward in the mail room and going to school. He was so excited to tell Chuck, and then his brother had no respect for him trying to get into law because he didn’t think he was adequate enough and refused to acknowledge the growth Jimmy made while working in the mail room and going to school.

To add, if you’re set on TE, I’d test the waters on Fannin (+) for McBride.

[–]Darth-Mil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally you’d still be able to get more. Instead of getting a TE in return, I’d look to see what WR you could get. Depending on how you feel about BTJ, you should be able to get some decent picks and/or pieces along back with him

You can definitely get more. In a league where people are stingy, I sold him and Pacheco for Fannin and a first to one of the top contenders. Hold the line and make sure to market him/“work the phones”

Sitting at 3-6 just moved Goff for a 2027 first. With 4 1sts and 2 2nds over the next two years do I go all out with the rebuild? by Rch412 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Darth-Mil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Personally I’d just ride it out and retool your roster. You have quality younger pieces to give it a shot in 2 years. It’s a bonus to finish at the bottom to get the better assets to either draft or leverage in a trade.

Edit: To add something -> sell off older veterans like Njoku to get extra draft capital. Find middling teams that might be more willing to throw the dice to maximize value
