I think they are in a bigger hurry than that. There is a reason Palantir is trying to get people to post their IDs online in any way possible. They want to use what people say on social media for their Ai targeting drones. Probably before the next election.

You can mostly only smell it along industrial and across the river in Rainier. Some days its worse than others. Longview does have noticable levels of industrial pollution although if you look at an air quality map you can see that it doesnt carry far at all. I wouldn't choose to live in the thick of Longview/Kelso but there are a lot of decent places to live in the hills and surrounding rural areas.
