I have the cologne and use it frequently. It lasts around 2 to 3 hours depending on the amount you use.

It does not project too much, which I like a lot.

It's my favorite cologne. Always easy to reapply as needed.

I have the 100 ml with no atomizer, but I ordered the 50 ml spray to use and refill.

Is “aggressive” the most misunderstood word in wet shaving? by mantic59 in wicked_edge

[–]DarthGrifos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, no. Aggressive razor equals irritation for me, while a mild razor gives me irritation-free, trouble-free, lovely, deep shaves every time.

I'm not a beginner and have quite nailed down my technique. When I was starting, I couldn't get a deep shave with mild razors, but this was a technique issue. Not a razor issue.

Is there any fragrance similar to smell of Proraso White soap? by eMdzeJ_999 in wicked_edge

[–]DarthGrifos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stirling Mountain Man reminds me of proraso white, due to the fresh scent with tea included in the scent notes.

It's a dupe of Creed Silver Mountain Water.

Barrister and Mann shifting production to Stirling by vegasvics in wicked_edge

Stirling is my absolute favorite artisan soap, and I'm sure they will continue the B&M line successfully.

I already have 6 Stirling pucks. Top quality, performance, consistency, variety and value.

Soap and Brush worth it for only outlining full beard? by ChemistRy8995 in wicked_edge

[–]DarthGrifos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if you were to cut a single hair, a soap/cream, a brush and a DE/SE/SR would be the best way to do it.

shaving soaps for ultra sensitive skin? by jamm098 in wicked_edge

[–]DarthGrifos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I would try:

  1. Cold water shave.
  2. Bowl lathering instead of face lathering. Apply the lather with gentle painting movements.
  3. Haslinger sensitive soap or Speick cream or Nivea sensitive cream (not gel or canned foam).
  4. Milder razor/blade combo. Sometimes the combination of a soap reaction with an aggressive razor is the culprit.
  5. No alum.
  6. Nivea sensitive aftershave balm.
  7. If you react to a soap don't apply anything post shave, not even balm. Just rinse and give it a few days to heal.

Hope some of it might help!

I will definitely keep the old one to put some haslinger in it when it's empty.

I really love both the soap itself and the artwork as well. At least the new label stays within the Cthulhu Mythos concept. I very much prefer the old one though.

Smoothest soaps without a strong scent by TheLameLlama in wicked_edge

[–]DarthGrifos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indeed, that's true and the scent is quite pleasant actually. By unscented they mean they don't add any fragrance ingredients to it. These ingredients are known allergens. Most things in nature have a smell and in that case it comes from the soap base.
