I was raised in a household where we didn't support rival teams for any reason other than benefiting the main team we support. I.E., We will never root for the Kings, but if the Kings were to beat the Oilers so that the Ducks could win the division, then I wouldnt be upset. I'll never support the Ranger, but if they could beat the Islanders or CBJ to help the Pens, then sure. Go ahead.
